Ye likes Hitler

It would be interesting to see this "fine" state sometime. The "goes off the deep end once a year" thing seems to last about 364 days.

Ye's dinner with trump has created a problem with Jared Kushner and wife Ivanka, both Modern Orthodox Jews. From New York magazine:
In the past, the dinner with Ye and Fuentes would have become the responsibility of Ivanka and Jared. They were there when Trump hesitated to condemn David Duke, and when he shared an offensive image of a six-pointed star alongside a pile of cash, and when he repeatedly told a Jewish group, “I don’t want your money.” Melania may have gone on record to say, “He’s not Hitler,” but it was Ivanka and Jared, the only Jewish members of the family, who could actually help him wriggle out of trouble...When calls began to come in looking for help, looking for public support, even looking for a response, Kushner refused. In interviews trump has claimed to be unaware of Ye's past anti-Semitic comments saying, "I don't study Kanye West."

When recovering from the depressed state and heading to the manic state, people with bipolar disorder can seem pretty normal. An aunt of mine who is not too bright but is an RN kept fooling herself when her ex husband was coming out of a depressed situation. She would think he was getting better but it was just the transition heading back to the manic phase.

I mean, his very good friend also had some nice things to say about good old Adolph.

Your claim is false. Candace Owens says nothing nice about Hitler in this video. Not one word. Only someone determined to twist her words and ignore the thrust of her comments would claim that she "had some nice things" to say about Hitler.

If you know anything about Candace Owens, you should know that she is fiercely pro-Israeli and pro-Jewish.

not mutually exclusive.

not mutually exclusive.

"Not mutually exclusive"??? Really??? In what reality? Not in this one.

And I again note the fact that Owens says nothing positive about Hitler in the linked video. She wasn't even talking about Hitler but about the term "nationalism." Her brief comment about Hitler, which condemned him for being bent on world domination, was incidental to her main point that "nationalism" in and of itself is not necessarily a bad thing. She cited the case of Hitler to show that when applied to an extreme, the idea of nationalism can be bad.

plenty of US christiano-nationalists are both pro-Israel and pro Third Reich. Reason being that they want the Apocalypse to happen soon, at which point Jesus will come back on turn 1/3 of all Jews Christian, after the other 2/3rds have been killed of. But that requires Israel to hold the Holy Land.
Owens will happily tap into the evangelical mindset in order to make a buck anytime.

She literally said that what he wanted to do inside Germany was “fine”. You do understand what Hitler was doing inside of Germany, right? It’s not a big secret (anymore).

ETA: I also note the dig that Hitler was a Nationalist Socialist, as of that were remotely true.

Remember, Mikey thinks David Irvine's not a holocaust denier. This is not a person well acquainted with reality.

So, what Hitler did inside Germany was "fine"?

Candace Owens is fiercely pro her own bank account. She passionately believes in what she's paid to talk about at that moment. Of course, her interest only last for that moment. That is why she wasn't prepared for that speech where she talked herself into a circle so badly that she ended up defending Hitler.

It reminds of that character from the last 2 or 3 seasons of Veep, Sherman Tanz. He was a Sheldon Adelson analog. He had a line about Richard Nixon being "such a terrible anti-Semite. Great friend of Israel, though".

A lot of the hyper-Christian pro-Israel antisemitism is a holdover of the Cold War when Israel was seen as another check on Soviet influence in the region, especially after. And since Iran-Contra Ronnie helped elevate the super Christians in the GOP, they made The US foreign policy at the time a mission from God. But without the cool Gospel and R&B music.

As in build concentration camps inside Germany like Hitler did? Dachau, Sachsenhausen, Mauthausen, Buchenwald, etc.?

Kanye now says he is no longer an anti-Semite after watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street. This is not a joke.

If only that was available in 30s Germany the middle of the century might have been far more pleasant.

I suspect, without evidence yet, that Kanye is dumb as a post when it comes to 20th century history and politics. He seems to have zero clues what he is talking about.

I suspect it has more to do with his unmedicated mental illness than education. His mother, who raised him, was an accomplished university professor and West attended Chicago State University but dropped out at 20 to focus on his music career.

I read his bio. That doesn't make him particularly knowledgeable on 20th century history and politics. However I'm surprised that he seems to have gotten nothing from his parents on the subject. They would seem to be well acquainted with the forms and means of oppression throughout history. That West would latch onto what is basically Christian Nationalism, which is the antithesis of what his parents stand for, indicates recalcitrance, brainwashing, or extreme ignorance.

And yes, this ties to his untreated mental illnesses.
