Would People Prefer Religion to Be Empirically Proven?

It’s not rhetorical it's a genuine question in the philosophy of religion. Does faith hold intrinsic value (like Kierkegaard argued), or is it merely a placeholder until evidence arrives? Dismissing the question doesn't resolve the paradox.
My bad. I thought you were asking a rhetorical question, and then failing to follow up with any rhetoric.

It depends on the religion, and the interpretation. Some people assign intrinsic value to faith, others don't.

And if His puny creation simply cannot comprehend His interaction? Do you think an ant understands what the humans around her are doing? Does that stop Him from exterminating the ant colony, should He be annoyed by it? Where do you get the expectation that the Universal Creator is obligated to dumb everything down for us?

Again, so I was told.
That's just a God of the Gaps. This mysterious thing was an interaction with a god. Now we understand it and call it lightning. Every mystery ever explained has turned out to be nothing to do with God.

What?.No, that's got nothing to do with anything. I am not justifying or assuming a God's existence one way or the other. I'm saying to look for humanly comprehensible interaction with the Creator of time and space makes no sense at all.

Lightning wasn't humanly comprehensible, until it was.

Why would anyone consider there is a God/creator at all?
To fill a psychological need to feel that life isn't meaningless, that things will work out, that there's a loving and powerful parental figure who will take care of the big problems, etc. I'm not saying those are good reasons to believe in gods, but they're certainly understandable reasons.

Still nothing.to do with anything. Im.not proposing that there is any explanation to be filled, except why you would expect a creator God to be comprehensible, like Bob down the lane.
Because a God would not create creatures who could not comprehend him. Not if the religions are right and he craves worship. And if he doesn't crave worship and we can't understand him, why the heck are we expected to worship him in the first place?

Maybe the worship part was just invented by people, in the hopes of flattering the god, who had no idea people would do that. It's chilling out in a distant galaxy, and would be surprised to learn we even guessed it existed! "Look, that's....uh, sweet, I guess. But I just don't feel the same way about y'all. So...bye!" [whooshes off to an even more distant galaxy].

Perhaps Catholics were right when they thought up the Holy Ghost, it's ghosting us!

"God did it." may be an answer. But there isn't a shred of evidence to follow to come to that conclusion. So how can you consider it?

Why not? We've got unanswered questions like abiogenesis, what was the Big Bang all about and what initiated it and preceeded it? Some kind of thing we could call a God could at least be on the table to consider, if not nearly robust enough as an assumption to accept as a default.

Those goalposts must be getting heavy. You opined that a God that didn't interact with people (like Bob down the lane interacts, I guess) would indicate that either He doesnt exist, or that he wants you to be an atheist. I think that assumes a simplistic view of a creator God on the level of Bob. I don't think a God would be like Bob.

I think the problem here is debating whether there is a God. I don't think that is the intent of the OP. As I take it, the intent of the OP is what people prefer, to able to believe in God.
Well in fairness, the OP is pretty nonsensical. "Would you rather prove something which is of life-altering magnitude or just kinda go with your feels?" is a fairly silly question?

One can follow the Abiogenesis and Big Bang hypotheses. There is and has been scientific experiments for both of them. Aspects of both have been proven.

No one can do anything to prove or disprove the God hypothesis. It's an unfalsifiable proposition. There is nothing to consider. "God did it," is the equivalent of fairies did it. But feel free to propose a test that could prove or disprove God.

Nonsense! If God is incomprehensible, invisible, undetectable, etc, then what is the point of religion? If people can not define and comprehend God then how do they justify appealing to one?

You're not following the reasoning. I am.light years away from 'God did it'. I'm way over here at 'a human couldn't comprehend a god, so how could you either construct a test or think you've got his personality wired?'
