I like the way this stuff is only apparently 250m from the olympic site and may cause trouble for redevelopment, but apparently caused no trouble for the ever-so-slightly large construction project that's been going on in the area for the past few years.

Alex Jones' (totally sane, articulate, and rational - honest!) rationale was this:

How does an article (about possible radioactive contamination of the Stratford site) written on Sunday 20 June 2010 20.00 BST "coincide" with the Batman film that was released last week? Get a grip on yourself!
Try reading the articles you post instead of just regurgitating the first thing Google spits out as fact.
You also might want to familiarise yourself with the meaning of the words could, might and may. They are used to express possibility not to confirm facts.

A neat light show that cribs from (and plays music from, since John Williams was the Olympics' music director) the ending to Close Encounters. Super cool, but not much of an invasion. Here's a nice article, however, about its inception. Rather than simply "thegovernmentdiditasafalseflagattack", the actual story of the Closing Ceremony is much more interesting, with a lot of talented hands involved, like Disney Imagineers Bob Gurr, Jim Elliott and Roger Broggie Snr, with Broggie being the first of the Imagineers beside Uncle Walt himself.
The guys in charge of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies were film producer David L. Wolper, who was the Olympic Ceremonies Producer, and event organiser Tommy Walker, who had the role of Director of Ceremonies. Walker was the guy who opened Disneyland back in 1955. According to Gurr, the spaceship was Walker's idea. The Olympics then contracted engineering team John McGraw and John Miles, who ran a LA company called Plainview, dedicated to stage construction, set design, etc. to build the thing, but they had to pull out when the project proved too big. Graw and Gurr were friends, and the project was passed over to him, who designed the thing from scratch, wanting it to be at least 40 feet across, consisting of an metal-frame covered in a fabric, similar to a zeppelin, and covered in lights.
After a hectic five weeks, the ship was completed and ferried over to Hughes Aircraft Airport, just 8 miles from the Memorial Coliseum, where it was assembled and ready for the Olympics. A couple of test flights were run just to be sure, before it would then be carried over the stadium by a Bell 214B helicopter, which is a hell of a heavy-lifter. All in all, the UFO was said to weigh 3,689 pounds and have over a mile and a half of wiring.
A lot of effort and it really pays off. Shame about the cheapy alien costume though. I wonder who was inside it...

That is one of the crazier things about Conspiracy Kooks;They think that Comic Book Plots are for real and that there really are Evil Villians plotting world domination a la a James Bond movie.
Look, I am something of a comic book geek (although I have real problems with TDKR as a film on grounds of too many plotholes ) and am an 007 Fan who will be first in line when Skyfall (the next Bond film) opens in November but I can tell fiction from reality,which conspiracy loons cannot.
I hope that our friend does not watch "Black Sunday" in the near future;that might REALLY send him over the edge.

Being in California cannot watch the ceremoinies until this evening when NBC shows them;but if the rumors are true I hope that 007 gave Mary Poppins a hand in kicking Lord VOldemart's butt........

As we have now seenJerusalem featured because the opening part of the ceremony was about the transformation of Britain in the industrial revolution and I thought it was very impressive. Oh and nobody tell Wollclark that Voldemort was there as well...
