i would say being afflicted by the recollection problems the defendants had was actually factually impossible. ;)

It doesn't matter how much you vilify the defendants for their behaviour, if they couldn't actually have been present at the murder scene at the time the murder occurred, then the behaviour has some other explanation.

Rolfe.

perhaps they weren't there. But they could have still been there after to stage the break-in , cover the victim & lock the door.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, WHY?

You might as well say Filomena could have been there. Or Sophie. Or me for that matter. It's a complete non sequitur.

Rolfe.

i said earlier i think they were involved. Probably knoxs idea gave guede a key or let him in. They could have been at the house or not. But involved they were

i'm off to play some lfd2. ciao

And the moon is made of green cheese....

You sound like a stuck record. It's your prerogative to believe something irrational with no evidence to support it, but don't expect it just to go without challenge on a sceptics forum.

Will Amanda Knox [and Raffaele Sollecito] be acquitted?

My square brackets added.

If "innocent until proven guilty" and "reasonable doubt" mean anything at all in Italy, they will be acquitted.

If neither of these principles of fundamental justice mean anything to the Italian justice system, then it's a crap shoot that nobody can predict.

Do you think the perception of the pro-innocent camp as a bunch of CTer's has changed at JREF?

There have been some that have changed their minds, even since I have been involved in the threads. There are those that just seem to be interested in trolling too.

I think she'll be aquitted. As was the case with the WM3, this nonsense has gone on long enough.

Why is that, lionking? My interest in this poll is if there has been a change in perception of the JREF community towards the pro-innocence posters.

You really might want to note that what you're referring to as the JREF opinion is a small handful of regular members who happen to be in your favorite topic's main thread. For the most part, I barely recognize the top posters in that thread (for the most part... of course there are a couple of regulars), as they're recent emigres just for this single cause. I've never posted in the AK threads as I merely find it interesting, not necessarily fascinating and certainly not worthy of monomania.

When you guys get out for a stroll around, you might find that there are other topics here and that from the looks of things in that list, you haven't even met up with most of the high-volume and highly opinionated members, yet. There are, on average, something over 3000 "regular" posters here. So if you want to get a sampling of who thinks what of whom, you need to broaden your research. For you guys, it's like "Oh, if it's not in the AK thread then it can't be relevant."

I voted that she'll be acquitted in the hopes that you guys will just "Stifle it, Edith!", and move on or move out into the rest of the forums (and by that, I don't mean your occasional adventure into FM to whine about each other). I'm going to risk a guess that most other members of this forum probably feel the same. We're far more concerned with other topics.

I doubt the perception that many of the posters on the AK threads are single issue posters will change as for the most part, it is true. Some of us have ventured out to other topics that interest us and more may do so once this case is resolved. My guess is that most posters started posting here because of a particular topic that interested them and then strolled around when interest in that topic waned.

The particular perception that I was interested in was the one that the Knoxers are a bunch of CTers. Has that changed, in your opinion?

I thank Amanda Knox for warning me against using my real name on facebook. If/when I murder someone/get accused of murdering someone I don't want sicko journalists nosing around in my virtual underwear drawer.

I think you (or most people anyway - obviously don't know anything about your FB account) would just be delaying the inevitable doing this. My Facebook page is quite hard to find, even for family and friends due to having a remarkably common name. If I am ever newsworthy you can bet they will search me by looking through my friends or family profiles, and if that doesn't work, by offering money to friends or distant family.

I think another interesting poll would be "would you do AK if she gets released?"

I would, but if she suggested a threesome I would arrange for an airtight alibi

Well, they certainly have some of the hallmarks of the CTers, but frankly, I don't follow it enough to know (or care) who's on what side. That's what I meant about it being interesting but not fanaticism worthy. To be honest, I don't know which side you or LondonJohn or PilotP are on (nor even Rolfe, someone who's posts I generally follow).

My point was that you were speaking of the impressions of JREFFers(add that extra F, for Forums, because these forums are certainly NOT the JREF) and I was emphasizing that the people posting in that thread are not a fair sampling of the major lights of these forums. A poll in Forum Community might be a more viable barometer, but all that's being attracted to an Amanda Knox poll in the (what has become) Amand Knox Sub-Forum is going to get responses from Amanda Knox debating fans and minions. As a result your question is going to get responses as though it was worded, "Hey, do we think we're CT types?", because you're preaching to the choir. (Except for misbegotten folk like me who wandered in here hoping to find a link to some actual details of the hearings/trial/appeal/whatever-it-is.)

ETA: Lest someone think "he doth protest too much", I know some of the the players because I'm an avid reader of the two sub-forums Knoxers do get to post to.... Forum Management and Abandon All Hope.

If she's not acquitted it's going to be a national embarrassment for Italy. Or maybe it won't be, as judging from the comments I've seen on the news stories, tons of people are CONVINCED that her contradictory statements to the police are absolute proof of guilt.

Coincidentally, most people who post comments on news stories appear to be bloodthirsty, idiotic lunatics. So hopefully they aren't the best sample of public opinion. :D

Anyway, if she's acquitted then the prosecutor should be fired. Out of a cannon. Into the sun.
