Wild Elephant Abuses Lizard

Since it's a lady elephant, maybe she just wanted a fashionable lizard skin bag?

I think what the chimp was doing is OK. Looks like he was just having some good clean fun. Unless it was a male frog. In that case it's perverted.

And the headline for the story in The Daily Mirror (which I only buy when seriously bored)?

Trunk and Disorderly

Nice to see elephants have evolved the "bastard gene".

I read a book a long time ago by a professional hunter in Africa (can't remember who it was). He said that American clients, heads full of Disney and circuses, always tell him they have no desire to shoot an elephant. Then, after observing them in the wild for a while, do a complete 180 and can't wait to put a bullet in one. Apparently elephants really can be dicks.

We get this idea that they spend all their time eating peanuts, being scared of mice and remembering things.

I personally wouldn't shoot one, but that's just me.

I know I'm going to PETA-Hell for this, but that picture of the elephant looks hysterical.

I wish I could tell you that Kermit fought the good fight, and the monkeys let him be. I wish I could tell you that - but the zoo is no fairy-tale world. He never said who did it, but we all knew. Things went on like that for awhile - zoo life consists of routine, and then more routine. Every so often, Kermit would show up with fresh bruises. The monkeys kept at him - sometimes he was able to fight 'em off, sometimes not. And that's how it went for Kermit - that was his routine. I do believe those first two years were the worst for him, and I also believe that if things had gone on that way, this place would have got the best of him.

Chimps are not monkeys. Monkeys are much better. Chimps are just nasty, with crinkled hands and the desire to rape frogs.

Monkey and frog... how often does one have the context to teach your kids the word irrumation?
