"Why We Fight..."

Because I was pointing out that there are firefighters who say they are being lied to?? It is implied here that all firefighters believe the official story. I'm just stating that is not that case.

False Dichotomy. Just because they don't trust the government or felt they were misled or lied to doesn't mean they believe in conspiracy theories.

And what is it, they think, they are being lied to about? Specifics.

No, what I meant is that the lies the "truth" movement is spreading is making people doubt what they lived and saw. This is dangerous.

Well then I apologize for misreading that.

Anti-sophist, Two firefighters I talked to in Central Park on Oct 9th said they heard, saw and felt explosions in WTC 1 & 2. They not pointing a finger at how explosives got there just saying they were there.

I guess it's probably best to state right now I'm not your typical Loose Change CT. I don't buy everything the official story tells us but at the sametime I don't a written in stone theory. I'm just looking at all sides and coming up with questions. Even when I think I have an answer to a question, I question that answer.

You do know that explosions != explosives?

I'm sure they heard, saw and felt explosions. That's what happens in a big fire.

I'm sure a firefighter would know what happens in a big fire probably better than both of us. They were saying explosions caused by extra devices in the building

I think this discussion better fits in a new thread.

Will you PM me with their names? I'd like to interview them if they're up for it.

According to the CTists, the fire fighters are complicit in the conspiracy.

It's good to try to remain unbiased, I certainly respect that. Welcome to the forum!

As to your point about the explosions, thousands of tons of debris crashing down can sound and feel quite a bit like an explosion. I have to question how they "saw" an explosion. Is it possible they simply saw expanding gas from the compression of the collapse? Is it possible a gas main/tank or some other flamable material combusted causing an explosion? Is it possible they were simply mistaken? The reason I question their claim is that the evidence at hand is at odds with their claim. While searching for answers is certainly an admirable thing, there comes a time when you have to ask if you believe a conspiracy exists or whether you simply want to believe that one does.

Here is what Imam Habib has to say:

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/entity.jsp?id=1521846767-816

Imam Intikab Habib, who is due to be sworn in as New York City Fire Department’s second ever Muslim chaplain, expresses doubts about the official US government story as to who is responsible for the 9/11 attacks. 30-year-old Habib, a native of Guyana who has lived in New York since 2000, tells New York’s Newsday, “I as an individual don’t know who did the attacks. There are so many conflicting reports about it. I don’t believe it was 19 ... hijackers who did those attacks.” He says, “I’ve heard professionals say that nowhere ever in history did a steel building come down with fire alone. It takes two or three weeks to demolish a building like that. But it was pulled down in a couple of hours. Was it 19 hijackers who brought it down, or was it a conspiracy?” [Newsday, 9/30/2005]

The reaction of his collegues:

After making the comments, and shortly before he is due to be sworn in as chaplain, Habib resigns. Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tells reporters, “It became clear to him that he would have difficulty functioning as a Fire Department chaplain. And then I understand the head of the Islamic Society of the Fire Department ... told him they were withdrawing their support.

At least we know there are muslims out there who doubt the official explanation of amateur terrorists outwitting fbi, cia and the military air defense. Does that make them self-hating muslims?

No, they are in denial. And that is sad.

I'm pretty sure being Al Qaeda members was their full time job. Indeed they were not only professional, but also VETERAN terrorists, having been involved in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chechnya, Somalia, and any other place they could get their sticky fingers into.
