Why so many threads on Nazis?

Currently on the first page of threads of the History, Literature, and the Arts forum, one third* of the threads are about the blasted Nazis. Why?

They were a humourless bunch at the best of times, didn't cover themselves in glory and came a very decided second in the war. Can't we just forget about the miserable dogs and talk about more interesting things?

*10 threads out of 30 at the time of posting. Even I can do this math!

Because CODOH has decided to send a few of its members over here to talk about the Holocaust. Naturally, this results in an upswing of the threads discussing the Holocaust and related topics - e.g., the Nazis.

As Argent said, we have an influx of members of a holocaust denier board. I feel rather certain that the quality of revisionist scholarship is not much above the quality of the postings by those holocaust deniers here.
You may say a lot about academia, but at least they have certain standards and quality controls.
Holocaust revisionism amounts mostly to "If I insinuate this and that I might be able to challenge some trivial details that have no impact on the mountain of evidence we have on the Holocaust. And who needs facts, I can quote myself under a pseudonym. (Robert L. Brock under the pseudonym Ben Weintraub, Germar Rudolf in many different guises) My credentials are what I tell people(Fred LeuchterWP)."
And those people claim hundreds and thousands of other people lie?

Holocaust denialism and neo-nazis believe about quantity of drivel; not quality.

The neo-Nazi autodidacts like to pretend that their denilism equals "skepticsm" and are intent on proving to rational skeptics that their belief in the proven facts of history is wrong, irrational and, in this case at least, they don't test the "facts" of the holocaust by the same standards that they would apply to "woo" topics...and, ergo, those here who aspire to being true skeptics are, in fact, either in thral to Jews or Jews themselves.

It is absurd and sad.

Kind of annoying, isn't it? Kind of makes one want to "poe" them by posting a bunch of World War 2 denying threads. :p

Because agreeing with each other in their own web-based communities is not enough. They must also spread doubt and mistrust among the intellectuals, to better advance their "We're not wrong, just misunderstood" agenda. And being on the receiving end of skepticism, ridicule and abuse gives them at least some form of recognition.

I think the question should rather be why they are in the History, Literature & Arts section. Most of them belong in Conspiracy Theories - at best.

The Nazi uniforms were fantastic. The Holocaust deniers and neo-Nazis are all fashion buffs who can't come to terms with the losing side being the best dressed.

Bingo (name-o)

Speaking of dogs, someone once said that the most popular subjects in publishing were Nazis, dogs, and medical topics, so that "I Was Hitler's Veterinarian" was sure to be a best-seller.

I always thought that Nacho goose-steppy thing was pretty cool too but it's no wonder they lost the war. You must have been able to hear them coming for miles.

Do an analysis of the Nazi threads and see who started them.
