I get my opinion about 9-11 from Muslims I chatted with after 9-11 who still regarded Osama bin Laden as a champion of Islam.
Do you know what critical thinking is? Do you know how science works? It is not enough to say "your theory sucks". You have to give a theory that is better and explains things.
By the way, that is how biblical fundamentalists attack evolution. They don't like it. It sounds mean to them and it upsets how they see the universe. So they attack it. But they never provide an alternative theory that explains things.
Osama bin Laden was considered to be a hero by the United States when he went to Afghanistan to help drive out the Soviets. He was also regarded as a champion of Islam among Muslims. He drove out the Soviets -- kind of -- and he built roads and helped the people. THere are kids in Afghanistan there named Osama, after him. Osama bin Laden is all about Islam and doing what it fundamentally says.
What he did to the Soviets in Afghanistan he decided to do against the USA. When he went home to Saudi Arabia, he noticed that the infidels were marching around his country oblivious to Muslim customs. He did only what he understood Islam to tell him to do.
Show me where he was wrong. Here are direct passages from the Quran that Osama bin Laden could thoughfully cite to support 9-11 and his war against the USA

Most Muslims don't know this stuff that, if taken literally, the Quran clearly calls upon Osama bin Laden to do what he did. And if this is true, you cannot blame 9-11 on just a bad bunch of people with bad hearts.
And, yes, Islam demands that the the Quran to be interpeted literally. It is not a book of poems where you can interpret it in any way you imagine.

Osama bin Laden did this when he went to Afghanistan during the Cold War. He was our hero then. The reasons why he did what he did then was also why he decided to turn and fight the infidels in the west.

But it was a logical fallacy. I corrected him. I said "that is because necessity is the mother of invention. Africans had food and resources easily available. Europeans had weather changes to struggle against to survive. If life was tougher i Africa and easier in Europe, it would be the black people enslaving the whites to settle the new world". What I said made sense to him and he conceeded "maybe you are right".
You, on the other hand, just stomp your feet and hurl personal insults. That does not count. Show me alternative theories that make sense. Otherwise, I will just dismiss you as a crybaby for saying the world is not as nice as we all want it to be. Am I wrong?
