Why is Fanta so difficult to drink.

More importantly, why doesn't Fanta taste anything remotely like the fruit on the label?

I would rather do a shot of everclear than that vile orange stuff.
But the hotchix in their commercials will like you better if you drink it. That's the first rule of advertising!

It does in Spain. Seriously, Spanish Fanta is much, much better. I found out when I went to England. And we have Lemon flavoured Fanta too. I've seen foreigners go home with a suitcase full of Lemon Fanta (and Licor 43, which no Spaniards likes, but seems to be vey popular with Britons).

We have lemon Fanta in Norway as well.

And apple Fanta.

And exotic fruit Fanta.

How about they really cash in and come out with a holidays special called "Fanta for Santa"? :D

Exactly!

My favorite soda growing up was Nehi, like Klinger I loved grape Nehi. Shasta was ok. I loved apple beer and we made our own Root Beer.

Sadly America's instance on the protection of its sugar industry has forced American soda pop makers to use corn syrup. An inferior sweetner. If you love coke and other sodas you can only find "the real thing" in Mexico, Central and South America and countries other than the US.

You can buy Mexican Coke in many Mexican grocery stores here. It's more expensive, but supposedly tastes better. I can't stand regular Coke, or any regular soft drink. Waaay too sweet for me! Give me Nutrasweet Diet Coke, now that I can live off! :p

It was Radar O'Reilly that loved grape Nehi.

If you 're not from North Carolina, you probably don't know about the greatest of all sodas: Cheerwine

Yeah, that stuff's not so bad. I liked the commercials they were running, with all the abandoned cars in the street.

Boy, this is like the 3rd big screw up in as many days. You are correct. Perhaps it is the desire to dress in womans clothes that I share with Klinger.

Truth be told he was looking for a section 8. I have no such excuse.

Wasn't Klinger wild about some barbecue or something from Toledo? The MASH crew had the (whatever) shipped to Korea from Toledo, and forgot to order the sauce.

Nope. That was Hawkeye. It was ribs. They shiped it as medical supplies. And, yes, they forgot the sauce.

They had a C1 formula coke for a while but seems like its disappeared from the shelves. It was coke with 1/2 the sugar it usually has.

Bah... look at the ingredients--it was just a half and half mixture of Coke and Diet Coke.

I would love to participate in a blind taste test comparing corn syrup-sweetened soda to sugar-sweetened.

Agreed. I'm convinced I could tell the difference but acknowledge that I could be wrong.
