Because the Truthers don't understand basic physics. Because they don't understand that when things get bombed, and the joints fail, they just fall, straight down; and things that are very heavy fall with a great deal of force straight downward; and that that force can push other things outward at great force.
In other words, if we had better science education in this country, I highly doubt the Truthers would even exist.
