HOW Halarious! You get indignant when someone makes the suggestion that you might just be buying into the party line, but
you actively do the same to someone who doesn't share your political point of view.

What the hell are you talking about? What party line?

Where is YOUR evidence that Sheehan is being forced, coerced or otherwise controlled by anything OTHER than ?

Who paid for her red, white, and blue bus, upon which is written "Impeachment Tour"? Of course, you already know it's these guys.

???? Bush is attacking Cindy's character? Where the hell do you come up with this stuff? Why do you think this lady is going to settle for a hug? What about the situation makes you think feel good answers are going to have any effect at all? This woman has a clear agenda and I don't see any of your suggestions as likely to have any success.

I guess I must have misinterpreted what I saw on the drudge report the past few days - but it certainly looked like an organized smear Cindy campaign to me. Not sure if it's working yet. After losing her son, Cindy may be difficult to intimidate.

As for feel good answers and settling for a hug - with a few tears thrown in. I actually wasn't joking. Clinton was a master at it and Bush isn't. However, given the current deplorable situation in Iraq, possibly even Clinton couldn't come up with feel good response. So you're probably right, Bush's best response is likely to continue hiding out and avoid any confrontation that will likely further lower the public's opinion of him.
