First of all American isn't a race, it's a nationality, and no they aren't exempt. You compared Harvard to the Army, not me. Each and every one of our homegrown terrorists are self-made terrorists. We don't have any institutions that set out to make a terrorist from the start. Last I heard Harvard doesn't have bombmaking 101 in their curriculum for example. Kazynski made Kazynski, not Harvard.

Back to the OP, the answer is that despite their delusions of importance, Truthers are really just part of the same Conspiracy Theorist community that has preyed on the extreme ends of the political spectrum for decades, probably longer.

In this community, everything that happens is part of some secret plot by the Jewish, Communist, NeoCon Bankers to control your life. There are no Muslim terrorists because the Muslims, like everyone except the Conspirators and the Theorists, are deluded sheep who can't think for themselves.

They are lone gunmen. They don't have a support structure in place to train them, organize them, supply them or help their families after the fact. Sure. But the reason their ideas about how to do this are so stupid is because unlike many of the 1960s student radicals, these guys are young AND stupid.

The 1960's student radicals had their share of young AND stupid as well. They just had better representatives. Is Alex Jones the new Timothy Leary? David Icke the new Terrence McKenna? Is System Of A Down the new John Lennon? (not that SOAD isn't a great band, there are different opinions, but their lyrics (believe me I've read them all), are not the brightest/engaging pieces of literature...)

But I know where you're coming from. The 60's had a more academic feeling to it. These truthers are genuinely anti-intellectual, their attitude is basically denying everything they can and then referring to every counter-evidence as a trick by the Big Brother...

And the thing I hate about them is that they treat other people like if others were brainwashed and don't realize that a corporation (NWO, Freemasons, Evil Satanist Black Aliens, whatever) that is so effective to control minds and poison food and contact with beings from other planets and so on, are not capable of simply deleting the sites on the Internet that got something REALLY going on. No, if there was *in fact* such type of organization, I'm sure they would be LTAO on the ground. "Look at this, this one says we're lizards and we inbreed... I wonder who's the inbred" - ahahahaha! And they all laugh histerically while a lightning bolt cracks louldy in the dark sky...

I have noticed that the Truthers are quick to bash the Jews, and just as quick to defend the Muslims- Why do truthers refuse to beleive that Muslim radicals could ever commit acts of terrorism? Yet they have no problem blaming it all on the Jews....

It isnt neccessarily about attacking Jews or defending the terrorists (not all terrorists are Muslim). Timothy Mcvey wasnt a Muslim but conspiracy theories surrond him. Oswald wasnt a Muslim but conspiracy theories surround him (some say he was a KGB agent!).

It is more to do with the haves and dont haves. Conspiracy Theorists usually have something missing in their lives. Most of society works for a living, regardless of whether or not they like their job. Most of society gets on with daily living and try to improve on their own circumstances. Most of society have other outlets or hobbies that they have interests in. Most of society accepts responsibility for how they live and which direction their lives go in.

My observation is that twoofers tend not to see the world as most of society. They have a 'there has to be more than this' or ' its not fair' mentality and so go about their daily lives looking for things that arnt there and simply blaming others for their own misfortunes. Some will just call them 'angry young men', which is sometimes apt, but jealousy and a misguided notion of being part of something larger is also apt. Drug abuse, mental issues and monetary gain may also be a factor.

It is always easier to attach themselves to other 'causes' and vent their personal frustrations and misfortunes at someone or something else. Usually to authority or the Jews. In the UK its the Pakis, in the USA its the Jews and in the far east its whoever runs the local supermarket.

The internet cuts out any social gathering and real interaction and seeing as most of these twoofers have been raised since the advent of youtube it is hardly surprising that a generation of imbecials and the social inept are amongst us. Gullible, easily lead and a world of information at their finger tips. Little do they know that the Jews where behind the internet! Go figure!

There are some Muslim converts who seem to think that way. A K Dewdney - he of the dubious "mobile phones at altitude" testing - said this, according to Barry Zwicker in "Towers of Deception":

Dewdney's suspicions were aroused on the morning of 9/11 by the official story of Muslim suicide bombers. "As a Muslim I was aware that suicide under any circumstances whatever is strictly ruled out by Islam, as are any attacks on innocent civilians. The hijackers would be purchasing one-way tickets to a very unpleasant place."

No Muslim would ever do anything like that! Uh, obviously. At least, it's too painful for Dewdney to think otherwise, which presumably gives him the motivation to cling to truther nonsense, instead.
