Who's going to TAM4?

:boggled: Please don´t... I´m still trying to forget that one... :boggled:
Sorry. Didn't mean to trigger an acid flashback for you. My world's still a bit melty right now, but it shouldn't last more than a day or so.

I will be at TAM 4. I was at TAM 2 and 3 but, in general, you don't know me. That's mostly because I'm quiet (not actually shy) and a little bit because no one in the uber-clique Skepchicks has a grandfather complex (be nice, I'm buying a calendar).
I think both Hal and Dr. Phil do an excellent job and indeed, they are very much alike. If you don't seem them on stage at the same time, you know what that means.
Troylus, I met you and your wife last year and will make a point of saying hello this time. Also hope to see Dr. Nancy again.

Hello. I am familiar with a few of the posters here (fellow BABBers now BAUTers). I'm a newbie to TAM, and I would love to attend. Do I just need to register ($350)? Will I need to do anything else besides secure a room and a plane ticket? I understand the deadline for early registration is November 10th.

For those who do not frequent the BABB, Candy is a regular there (after a few minor difficulties  :eye-poppi ) and is a most sociable person and definite skepchick. Hopefully she'll look in on us here now and then and we'll get to meet her at TAM4.

Well, you've covered everything I do preparing for TAM--register, get a plane ticket (you're flying Southwest, right? ;) :D ) and book at the hotel. Rental car is optional, there are other ways to get around Vegas. Don't know of anything else off the top of my head (not that there is much remaining there these days).

anyway, welcome to the forum and browse about a bit. BAUT is your home, but consider us your little cottage in the woods...

As a cost-cutting measure, you're supposed to get paired up with a willing JREFer of the opposite sex. Somebody will contact you soon. Trust me.

(joke) I'm here all week.

Hi Candy,

don´t worry, I think you´ll fit in perfectly with the rest of us. Speaking of which... do you like chocolate?

I'm coming. My first TAM! Just beat the 10th November deadline...

By the power of the awesomness of the donators to the scholarship fund...!

I'm there. RAWK.

I got the ticket. Now, I'm willing to room with a handsome well-to-do man to help save on expenses. I'm 39, single, and a woman.

Wow, the rooms must be expensive if you are only saving $60-$90 bucks a night. I'll surf their site in a moment. I say 6 of us could fit in the one-bedroom suite. :)

I tried to register last night but I couldn't figure out where to put my credit card.

I jammed it into the CD tray but that just made my laptop go "click click click click." So anyway, I guess I'll have to give Florida a ring today to sort it out. Barring any major difficulties or increase in airfare, I should be there. If not, I'll have a registration to sell on eBay.

Silly girl. Try the pcmcia slot. It is just the right size. ;)

Does my statement offend you, then I apologize. I just have bad luck with getting stuck with the entire bill from some unpleasant past experiences.
Ohh, no, no offense at all. I simply did not understand it well. For once I thought it was "a man who do it well" ;)
