I first attended TAM 3 in 2005; TAM 6 will be my fourth consecutive TAM, not counting cruises and Mini-TAMs.
I have also contributed generously (only Paul of the Many Syllables knows how much) the past couple of TAMs to the scholarship fund, and will do so again this year, which has allowed some of our fellow Forumites to make it to the Meeting. I have also loaned cash on occasion on a payback arrangement to other Forum Members.
And two years ago I privately helped bring a Forumite to TAM 4. That worked out well, so I planned to do it again for TAM 5; it turned out to be a group effort and not so private.
Well, TAM 6 is coming and I’ve identified my candidate for this year; someone who meets the criteria of; (1) has never been to a TAM and can’t afford to make one, (2) is well-known on the Forum and (3) would enjoy it immensely, as would fellow Forumites.
Who is this person? Well, if I told you it wouldn’t be a secret now, would it? However, if you want to know and more importantly, help out with the planning/logistics/funding, drop me a PM and we’ll set up a secret cabal to plot out our stratagems.
If you think somebody from the Forum should be there, well, there can always be more that one secret cabal…I promise we won’t peek.
