Assuming your ratio is correct, it only demonstrates how stupid Germany was for going to, and sustaining, a war with those kinds of odds against them.

Now let's examine the ratio directly. Outnumbered 6:1 in terms of what? GDP? Aircraft? Warships? Soldiers? Tanks? Population? Factories? Oil production? Outnumbered 6:1 when? In 1939? 1942? 1945? Etcetera and so forth.

Well it is made more ludicrous when you consider how it unfolded. The only countries that ever seriously declared war on Germany was England and France.

The Germans attacked the Soviets. Then declared war on the USA. That alone handed you 3:1 Then we have the Commonwealth - India mounted the largest volunteer army in the history of the world during WW2 - 2.5 million men. Soliders, once serviced with modern equipment proved themselves the match of any of the axis forces unlucky enough to encounter them.

All pretty pedantic really when you consider the Germans could not even beat Britian

They actually didn't beat the French or anyone else either because at the end of the war none of their conquests held.

Its who wins the war not the first battle who is the victor...9/11 seems to have forgotten that.

Germany lead by the Nazis got a whipping, again.

Oh and another question for 9/11 NOT to answer. If da joos were running everything how come the Soviets, Poles, Czechs, Danish, Norwegians, Dutch, Luxembourgers, Belgians, French and British didn't all attack at once - That would have ended the 'war' in 1933.......

It refers to the period from the declaration of war in Sept 39 and May 40 when the battle of France errupted. The Germans refer to it as the sitting war. Basically Britian France and German spent most of the time just glaring at each other and not mounting any significant operations

I would say that the campaign in Norway and the occupation of Denmark were both rather significant.

Yeah, I know what the Phony war was but I didn't initially understand your allusion to it. It's clear now. If the bad, bad anglos [9/11 mode] had wanted to kill the Germans why didn't they attack? While the west front was denuded of troops?? The French and British seemed unusually passive for blood thirty warmongers...LOL x 2

This was minor and ineffectual compared to what was to come later. The RAF wouldn't possess a significant strategic bombing force for several years.

Man is surrounded by 6 maffia villains who clearly have hostile intentions towards him. Man tries to free himself from this situation (and the racket imposed on him previously: Versailles) but gets crushed by them. Corsair's cruel 'logic': 'how stupid of him to fight!'.

On a lighter note: our NWO hero USA is now itself outnumbered 1:6 (China, Russia and Europe) by Natzies (people who want to govern themselves and keep their identity) and will soon find out what that means. In contrast to Germany, Washington does want to rule the planet (it has 767 militar bases around the globe, until the coming crash that is), but it's army cannot even beat the Talibanand and internally it is a racial powder keg. Wonder in what year European/Russian troops will meet Chinese troops in Berlin?

Oh, btw I love your new space shuttle! One can't stop progress I suppose. Nevertheless I would suggest painting it in rainbow colors, just to 'celebrate diversity' or even better, paint it pink to encourage poor oppressed minorities.

Taking the figures from here, it's closer to 3-1 in Europe, going by 1939 figures. (That's US/USSR/UK/France against Germany and Italy) Guess the Germans were pretty silly to start a war with those kind of odds.

Well the French did advance in a number places up to 15 miles over the border. They were under strict orders to retire if any opposition was met. The Germans would send scouts up fire a few shots and both sides called it good for the day

Actually, a better analogy would be that the Mafioso was surrounded by cops, sent there to keep an eye out and make sure he kept to the terms of his plea bargain (which netted the death penalty for his goombahs Austro Hungarian and a guy only known as the Otto Man) which was offered after he took advantage of a turf war a few blocks over to try and extend his territory.

Despite his promise to keep his nose clean, his leftenant "the 'Stash" took over the Organization by violent means -- but as long as they kept it in the neighborhood, the cops turned a blind eye.

But then they muscled in to a neighborhood that the commish had personally promised to protect on the assumption that he was a corrupt as they were, and they could pay him off.

They couldn't, he did, and the Organization mostly went to the Big House or rode the lightning. The *normal* residents of the neighborhood organized a street watch program to make sure it didn't happen again -- no more Mafiosos.

But some white trash who think "gangsta" is cool are now trying to say that ain't how it went down, but are getting slapped down like the punk-*** wannabes they are.

That is 9/11 paranoid mistake, no such hostile intentions were shown, at all, if so why didn't these hostile warmongers attack, en masse, in 1927? 1933? 1938? Why not after his taking Czechoslovakia? Hitler provoke a war that destroyed him in 1939 by attacking Poland and her allies and he shot himself in the foot by attacking the Soviets in 1941, and topped it off by declaring war on the US later in 1941.
