Now that we are at it making fun of the British, this morning I learned something new about 'the miracle of Dunkirk'.

Until now I had thought that Hitler had let the British escape in order not to ruin chances of some agreement with them. Well and maybe he would have let the British escape... if he only got the chance to display his goodwill. The truth is even more painful for the British. Here David Irving on a recent lecture:

In reality the British were fleeing. Irving: "this was the only occasion that British arrived on a beach before the Germans." :D

The bitter truth is that the Germans never realised that the British were embarking... because the Germans had not expected the British to flee. And neither did their allies the French and the Belgians, the British simply abandoned them without warning!

Again a typical display of German overestimation of the British.

And yet it took 9 days to complete the evacuation. You'd have thought that at some point in time the Master Race might have cottoned on to the fact that there was quite a lot of maritime traffic and that the number of people on the beach was getting smaller and smaller.

To be fair, the British did bring about 140,000 house guests back with them.

W.r.t. the suggestion of abandonment, the Belgians surrendered on the 28th May (one day into the evacuation). And I guess the alternative would have been to stay, fight and be captured.

By the way, I read through the full thread some time ago but not since.

Is 9/11's suggestion that the Germans were the unwitting victims of a Judeo-Bolshevik plot to start a war to extinguish the Aryan race.

The Germans on the other hand were not rapaciously grabbing land but merely coming to the aid of their fellows (Sudetenland) or attempting to re-establish their pre-Versailles treaty borders (another Jewish plot which involved making it look like Germany was the aggressor in the First World War).

Of course once other countries declared war on Germany (who, as we recall were only minding their own business - see above) then the gloves were off but at no point in time did Germany do anything unjustified and all military expeditions were undertaken with a heavy heart and under extreme provocation.

Poor Hans does not understand that once you are on ignore you are likely going to stay there for ever, where evil witch 9/11 has put him.

Again here are the rules to qualify to be a member of the select few who are allowed to participate in this discussion, that in my modest estimation is essential if Europeans, either in Europe or America, are to have a future at all.
