Who killed Marilyn Monroe?

I just finished reading an article on Marilyn's death (this month's Playboy mag...which also has a great interview with Pacino and another good read on Super Bowl tix bookies.) I'm not an expert (although I admit to being a Forensic Files junkie), there were a few points that the article brought up that really make me wonder how it could have been classified as an "apparent suicide" and not further investigated as a murder. Though this might be fun to discuss...as I'm sure everyone has an opinion on theory. Feel free to add your thoughts:

1) Her house was completely bugged, under 24/7 surveillance from all sorts of people (FBI, CIA, Hoffa, etc.) So how could no one have heard, or even better, had a tape of what happened that night?

2) The autopsy report was compromised, with a majority of the substances reported "missing"...including that from her stomach (her death, they say, was caused from taking 30-40 pills...but how could that be confirmed without proper testing?)

3) She was planning to re-marry Joe DiMaggio (according to his niece), so the idea of killing herself (and not really leaving a note, or calling him) doesn’t seem to really make sense to me.

Haven't read the article yet (still looking at the pictures!), but:

1) Bugged 24/7 by all sorts of people. Sez who?
2) Sort of like the "altered" JFK autopsy photos that weren't altered at all?
3) The niece says they planned on getting remarried. Does she, by chance, have a book coming out?

Just things to think about. "New" JFK evidence comes along every few years that isn't "new" at all.

Well, duh, I did. Sorry, I just kind of assumed everyone knew.

Edited to add: Hey Mooser, welcome to the forum. I usually don't get all wiseass on the new guy, so sorry about that.

It was Bush's fault. Bush lied, Marilyn died.

Welcome, mooser.

I am Marilyn. I never died, I am in CT eating bon-bons. Joe never died either, he is here with me. Wait, he wants to say hi.

Joe here. Hi.

Well, this conspiracy is only going to work if all of you nice people at JREF keep quiet. I can trust you, can't I?

Welcome, Mooser. Most of us are sane. I said most of us. Really.

At any rate, I'm stuck home with a tummy ache from eating too many books, and have been watching all sorts of good tv today. The Abrams Report had the niece on, June DiMaggio, who indeed has a book coming out soon. She claims her mother was the one on the phone with Marilyn, when she [Marilyn] screamed out the name of the murderer and the phone, and apparently Marilyn, went dead. Why, when the killer(s) was so careful to clean up evidence, he or they left the phone off the hook was unexplained.

Ms. DiMaggio did not impress me favorably.

Playboy. Serious journalism.
Famous authors wrote there - Stephen King, Ernest Hemmingway, John Steinbeck, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., Shel Silverstein, Mickey Spillane, they've had interviews with people like Jimmy Carter, Yasir Arafat, Fidel Castro, Luciano Pavarotti, Federico Fellini, Muhammad Ali and Martin Luther King, to mention a few.

Did you ever read it? If not, I've just given you the perfect excuse .... :)

One or two total posts on each of these forums, and there are more. Oh, yes. There are more.

Who was that other spammer I busted last week?
Nice work, Luke.

Now, please, get a life!

Nice work Sherluke Holmes.

I'm embarrassed now that I posted on his basketball thread. Still, it looks I am in good company in getting taken in.

If his modus operendi holds, we've seen the last of him, then?

I always suspected Jackie O did it.

But then, I also think Queen Elizabeth wrote all of Shakespeare's plays and that Mrs Lincoln hired John Wilkes Booth.
