Argh! People are there! Have fun! Check out the Starbucks across the road if you're dying for a cappuchino! And if you find someone who is stuck for internet access, there's a grotty little tourist store right next to Starbucks that will allow you internet access for 15 minutes if you need to email home! Have fun! Tell us if Floor 13 still exists; I was really happy to be on that floor last year as three out of five hotels we stayed in had no Floor 13!! :mad: And check out the free stuff along the strip and hug Patricio if you're a skepchick!! :D
 
and ask Scott or any JREF person if they need any help. Volunteers help run things and there usually is something popping up.

oh, poor Kitten2 studied for all her finals that she was supposed to take today since she is missing finals week.

Today is a snow day....


She studied all weekend.

Well, she's going no matter WHAT. Looks like grandma might be feeling sick again!!!
 
She was going to take all her finals in one day? I cannot imagine anything more horrendous. I'm getting severe flashback heebie-jeebies just thinking about it. Forget them until next week.

We always took all our finals in two days. Senior year, when I was out one day (ruptured achillies tendon....gymnastics), I took 'em all (6) in a day. One of my science teachers gave it to me orally, which saved my hand, and proved to her I knew it cold.

You can do it, Kitten2! Or at least, may they let you do the hard ones now and save the easiest ones for you until afterwards!

well there were supposed to be spread over this week, but since she's taking off for TAM....now they want her to come in for a few hours in the morning. We are picking her up and going straight to the airport! Poor kid!!!!

Meanwhile I've packed my Nyquill and figure they must have good doctors in Vegas....cough hack...oh yeah, everyone is going to want to come hang out with me....
 
Well folks - this is it... I'm outta here as of now to start the Kabul-Vegas milk run. Kabul-Dubai-London/Gatwick-Dallas/Ft.Worth-Vegas... Ed willing and connections functioning, I'll be in Nevada 1700ish on Weds...

I arrived in Las Vegas yesterday morning at 8am. Of course, I left after an hour and now I'm 2 hours away, but I'll be back. Boy howdy, will I be back. On Wednesday. After lunch. At the Stardust. To stuff envelopes. Booyah!
 
Still got 36 hours before we are "leeeeaving, on a jet-plane..."! Thing is, we leave about midday Thursday here in Sydney, and arrive 7am the same morning in LA! WARP FACTOR 5, MR SULU!
 
My flight leaves in about 5 and a half hours. I am trying to finish some last-minute projects, and there are some who have decided that this will not be an easy task for me.

Only 5 hours til I leave for the airport! WHEEEEEE!!!
(now, if I could only sleep for a couple / few of those)

I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. Just try to get me to sleep.
 
I also am bringing germs. I hope my UK germs and Kittynh's US germs don't breed and make a hybrid germ that wipes out Vegas...

We set out at 4am tomorrow (Wed) morning. I love getting up at 3am...:eye-poppi

I´ll bring some German germs to keep yours company. I oinly have a minor cold, though, and that´s only because the grandmother of all cold spells is moving through Germany right now. We´re talking about -30°C (ca. -20°F) in some places.

Holy sweet lord on a pogostick! Folks, we need a prize for the most grueling itinerary, because I think this is it.

By the way, I hate all you people who are already there or on your way. Good tripping!
