Who didn't see this one coming!

Let him try;

The probability that he even creates and maintains a site like that is low. He still has to have minimal creativity to even falsify a news report or falsify an existing news report for any entertainment value for someone surfing the web and visiting the site to bother staying. Who knows, maybe he has some wierd talent and the potential that this site will become what you suggest may happen. Doubt his intentions are to deceive....fakenews.com....if he attempts to later on, he will suck at it because there is his post at LC and this thread here to prove otherwise.

*I don't abhor lying or manipulation in the Government, I wouldn't care.
Don't care for Alex Jones or his work either, I consider a lot of it bullsh_t.

I am not sure exactly how it works but Internet explorer 7 has spoof detection built in. So maybe if they tried to use graphics from a legit news site with hotlinks alarms would go off.

Fair enough. I just think he'd be shooting himself in the foot if he does do it. Once you get a reputation for making stuff up, it will be that much harder to be taken seriously. For a movement that claims to be concerned with finding the real truth about things, being associated with sites that are known to fabricate stories (even if most are just jokes), is a really bad idea.

Particularly when most of the people you're trying to convince already think you're a joke site.

Yeah, but he doesn't know that he might be shooting himself in the foot nor that it is a really bad idea, but I answered his question, and if he follows through, then he will eventually be aware of the consequences that could arise. I've seen this kind of thing and kind of people come and go since back on the original LCF.

isn't the poster in question that 'sleepy' character who also had the bright idea of posting porn vids online which magically turn into truther porn after a few seconds? Also the idea for faking hits to prisonplanet by doing something at digg.com, which did, but then didn't, get prisonplanet blacklisted, or maybe he dreamt it all...after all, he is sleepy?

So, just because he doesn't know, we should no longer care? Wouldn't his obliviousness actually make it worse? Maybe if we were to point out the folly of his ways, he would re-evaluate his whole position, and begin to wonder why devotion to a "truth" movement is inspiring him to post lies.

its all very circular, they claim the media is trying to silence them, so they have to abuse click systems like digg to get the messege out, but of course in doing so they get banned from such systems, and thus feel justified in their opinion that the media is holding them back

I predict Perry Logan will make a Fox News joke in this thread. 1,000,000$ please.
This is what I get for hanging around all these smarties.

But it is profoundly ironic to hear conspiracy folks--who feed on right-wing disinformation as flies feed on dung--talking about "fake news."

I'm amazed at how the conspiracist mind always seems to draw the opposite conclusions from me. To my way of thinking, a news story appearing in the New York Times about the administration's propaganda activities makes no sense in terms of the "inside job" paradigm. So why do they cite it as proof, insisting that they were the only ones in the world sharp enough to see the true meaning of the story? Sounds crazy to me.
