White House Survivor

No kidding, Kelly used to be a war hero; now he's a cautionary tale.

Meh.

I think he was given too much credit as a "war hero" and so all kinds of attributes were ascribed to him in terms of how honourable a person he was, his values and so forth. In truth he probably was always a populist right wing authoritarian and under Trump, his true colours have shown.

Now this is really weird, even by Trump Administration standards.

Some of the stupid, idiotic, lying Congressional Republicans are actually trying to impeach Rod Rosenstein, so perhaps Rosenstien will be the next one out to be kicked out of the door.

‘The Department of Justice is not going to be extorted’: Rosenstein responds to impeachment threat

Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein took aim Tuesday at Republican lawmakers who have drafted articles of impeachment against him, saying that he would not comment on documents “that nobody has the courage to put their name on” and asserting that he will not change his behavior in the face of threats.

...

Members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus — led by Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) — have been in a long-running feud with Rosenstein and the Justice Department over what they see as a failure to turn over documents on a number of controversial topics, including the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

In recent days, they finalized a draft of the impeachment articles, which criticize Rosenstein for approving the warrant to monitor Page, and then failing to turn over requested documents.

How should we classify Harold Bornstein, Trump's ex-personal physician and ex-traterrestrial? He never was officially part of the Trump White House, although apparently he expected to be appointed as White House physician. Compensating for his lack of an official appointment, it should be noted that Bornestein has been thrown under the bus in the same way as the many other Trump appointees and associates who proved bothersome. IMO he should receive some sort of honorary mention in this thread.

Whenever I wonder how Trump can chose so many absolutely inappropriate or incompetent losers for his appointees, I remind myself that Trump selects people virtually on a single basis: their willingness to swear undying and mindless loyalty to him. Of course this selects for stupid, crazy, craven, or sleazy people; no surprise when these traits eventually come to the fore, prove embarrassing to the Prez, and they are thrown overboard.

They are really harping on Rosenstein, Dershowitz is making more news rounds claiming because Rosenstein wrote the Comey 'cause to fire' letter that makes him a witness who needs to be recused.

You know Trump is going to latch onto that.

Wonder what disagreement caused Cobb to go? Sounds like the lawyers don't get along.

Source familiar with Cobb's departure says WH lawyer had been clashing with Trump in recent weeks: "Ty was uncomfortable with the Mueller tweets..." and was not going to be "part of a mud slinging campaign." Cobb made it clear to POTUS, legal team he "can't go down that path."

Same source:
Another legal team departure looming for Trump. WH counsel Don McGahn appears to be on his way out in the coming months, sources tell @Arianedevogue and me.
Seems Donny is going to be fresh out of legal advice sooner rather than later. Nobody wants that looming catastrophe on their resume, it seems.

Now Kelly is starting to look like Trump in a room of Russian Oligarchs. He's being passed around and used by everyone like he's a fat joint. First he was at DHS, now the Whitehouse, next the VA.
