Banachek spoke about some of the stranger communication he has received, and he and Jamy Ian Swiss spoke about a television show they did, testing people for the MDC.

There's a recent (or upcoming) TV show with tests for the MDC? Did anyone get a title or network?

I know a lot of people driving to TAM from the LA area, thats a 4 hour drive.

4 hours? By "LA area" you must mean Cajon Junction or your friends have lead feet.

Well, I'm very pleased to have been wrong about Anita Ikonen being tested yet again at TAM this year. But I'm disappointed that they could not cough up someone to test. Have there been any tests since last year (although last year's "event" was not a test)?

When is the last time someone was actually tested for the MDC?

I thought all the reforms announced last year were going to change things. Did this year's announcements tell us anything new? I hope so.

Banacheck was equally disappointed. He said JREF had about 6 claimants they were working with but none of them came through.

The description of the TV show was interesting, I believe it was NBC. NBC has full control and neither Jamy or Banacheck know how much of what they did will be aired or when.

They did show a new, streamlined version of the application form and discussed some of the rule changes intended to make it easier to apply.

The vast majority of applicants are not located within the United States. Therefore, air fare is an issue.
