Where Does Laziness Come From?

I remember reading in some anthropological article that our primitive ancestors had their butts in the butter, comparatively.
With plenty of foodstuffs easily obtained, they had plenty of time to hang around the cave, drawing pretty pictures on the wall, making flutes, and getting down with mamma...

Maybe laziness is just our genetic heritage.

Have you seen how a pride of lions spend most of their time? What's the advantage of that?

The 'ol ladies of the pride catch dinner, the males eat it, and lounge around the veldt, not having bowling alleys or fish poles to use during the leisure time between dinners.
Just like we do.
