What's wrong with Jason Bermas?

I just got done watching the full Democracy Now! debate of Loose Change vs Popular Mechanics and I want to know why Jason was getting all flustered? Does he know he's in a debate? I love it how he'll deny real science and appeal to pseudoscience with such claims as "the assertion that those squibs were due to air pressure is ridiculious." And everytime the Popular Mechanics guys would provide a full debunking of Loose Change's claims you could hear Jason snickering and going "OH MY GOD!" as if he's making fun of some kid who struggles with reading.

My favorite part though was when Jason had a complete meltdown and looked like he was ready to fight the Popular Mechanics guys when he yelled "we know these are real human beings and we should RESPECT THEM WITH THE TROOF SIR!"

The fact that these guys lack any sort of professionalism, class, or critical thinking during a debate should be a major red flag for any newcomers. Anyways, I just want to know what everyone's thoughts are on Jason Bermas? He seems to be the mini-Alex Jones of the Loose Change trio. Lets hope he doesn't get a public access show in Austin, TX.
 
You hit it on the head: he's Alex Jones Lite. Believes all the same things as Jones but lacks the (ahem!) charisma. In two radio interviews I listened to, Bermas named 26 conspiracy theories that he believes in, including that the Apollo missions were a hoax. Lots of Bermas bizarrities at Loose Change Creators Speak.

Personally I found he was itching to do this kind of "YOU ARE A LIAAAAR!" deal when he debate you Gravy. From where I was sitting it looks like he was having a hard time holding it in.

What are your thoughts on this Gravy? (seeing as you were actually there lol)
 
I think that's a big reason why Avery was there: to keep Bermas from losing his temper. They talked about that before the show, and we joked about it between shows.
 
Well, being LTW's (rhymes with "Pick") really takes a toll on his mental health.

It was originally supposed to be Korey though wasn't it? Or am I thinking about something else...

Yes, but Korey, for all his talk, isn't up to the task. He told me he hasn't even read the 9/11 Commission report. Too busy, don'tcha know. Too busy with what? Producing a product that says everything in the 9/11 Commission report is false.

Exactly right.

In the Oppie and Anthony phone conversation (before it degenerated into a slander match between the hosts and Bermas), Korey just gave up and handed the phone off to Bermas.

He doesn't seem to have a whole lot of motivation that guy.

And he hasn't even read that commission report!? Holy crap...

No reason to be surprised: the motto of any "True CTist" is "We don't need no stinking report, THE GUBMINT DID IT !"

I think Korey is a liability just as much as Bermas. Korey is the one who claimed that errors were intentionally left in Loose Change (After asking Dylan several times to clarify this statement in the Loose Change forums, he said that what Korey said was untrue - so one of them is lying). I believe that Korey is also the one who made the $20 million dollar claim in their latest interview.

Avery has his work cut out for him. Keeping Bermas in check and cleaning up after Rowe must be a hoot. Avery is obviously the "Moe" of their group.
 
Having watched said clip, I tend to think it's "speaking truth to power!!1" By copping an attitude like that you look really hot to the like-minded lady-types.
 
I like how Opie and Anthony got a firefighter on who worked on the fires at WTC7 and was calling Jason stupid. I guess the theorists are skeptical of experts as well.

Let's just face it, he is not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Sorry Jason, I know the truth hurts, but somebody has to be honest with you.

To be fair to Jason and his 16 conspiracy theories though, this is hardly unique to him. I listened to the Barrett-Griffin interview the other night. They got into about every theory out there too, JFK, Pearl Harbor etc. Griffin said that Oswald was a fake because he took Russian in college and it was really hard. No American could ever speak Russian fluently. Hey, speak for yourself buddy. Not my fault you sucked.
