What's the difference between CIT and PfT?

If you're trying to determine if one's more legitimate than the other, I'd advise against it. About the only difference that's actually practical is that PFT has claimed to have aviation electronics experts help them interpret FL77's flight data recorder output (do a forum search for those follies), while CIT has done eyewitness interviews. Neither manage to interpret their data correctly, though, and both totally are off the reservation in their claims.

Coke and Pepsi have bigger differences between them. So does a Ford vs. a Chevy pickup truck. The differences between CIT and PFT are in detail, not respectability or legitimacy. Neither deserve any respect, nor have either earned any legitimacy. Both are loon "groups" centered around a tiny, deluded, and obsessed core. And both just plain have it wrong.

Basically the CiT know their limitations as far as math and science go and choose therefore not to address any math or technical issues. When someone tries to force them to do math they figurativley put up a hand in the classic 'stop' pose and halt discussion. The PfT on the other hand do not know their limitations in math and science and have on several occassions chose to illustrate this by posting their ignoramce for all to view. Despite having been shown to be wrong and in a few cases even admitting their gross error, they also chose to leave up their erroneous calculations for months(years if the 11 g 'paper' is still up on their site).

Both chose internet arguement over serious attempts to get their point accross. I have personally asked PfT on many occassions to produce a purely technical paper outlining the way they conclude that the data on the DFDR shows a flight path that is grossly different than the path described by the physical eveidence on the ground. It would be of great interest to the NTSB, ICAO, pilot's unions, etc., if a DFDR failed as utterly as they claim. Instead they chose to produce politically charged (putting it nicely) press releases full of hyperbole and accusations. Thus they have poisoned their own well and wonder why no one will come to drink with them.

The CiT people have personally accused me of lying in the past, despite verifiable evidence to the truth of my statements. But they're nutty, delusional zealots, and that's to be expected from such irrational people.

The PfT should know better, but based on the idiocy they repeat (I'm not yet convinced they've ever had an original thought between all of them ever) they are just as bad. I corrected one way back when who just couldn't figure out why the black-box altimeter of the Shanksville crash stopped at such a high altitude of 2000 feet. (ProTip: Look up the elevation of Shanksville, PA) HE thought Data must clearly be missing. Yeah. Pilots. Wooooo!

I bet he'd really be confused if the plane had crashed in Colorado.

How long do you think it will be before there will be a CIT / PFT split? And who will initiate it?

I think if Captain Bob ends up staying on Aldo's couch, and his girlfriend gets pissed, there could be a rift...perhaps even the split you speak of.

You might have a point. Since most other truther groups will have nothing to do with them that only leaves CIT and PfT as plymates. It might be only a matter of time before a blowup occurs. I wonder what it would be over. It would ahve to be something minor in detail. They mirror eachother to much for it to be something big.

CIT is the official investigators for p4t? How about that?

So now I know who to blame for getting me tossed out on my ear… in two days. Good investigators.
I really don’t feel to bad though, my membership lasted longer than my first marriage. :)
 
You know, my life is boring now that Warren finished the FDR decode and CIT/P4T have both been rendered donutless. AAL77 has been accounted for via radar, ATC audio, eyewitnesses and FDR pretty much up to the final fraction of a second. Nothing more to see here folks.
