What must be said

Does Lieberman, Netanyahu [and Virus] know the difference between criticizing Israel and criticizing the Jews?
Those mentioned above, albeit I don't agree with a great deal of their policies, know the difference. Not like the Arab and the Iranian countries that hide behind the word 'criticism' when it simply thinly veiled anti-semitism, ie protocols drivel. Much like the watered down version of the many muppets that post on this forum.

Curious as to whether you keep posting in these threads, as opposed to the conspiracy end of this forum, when obviously this forum is run by pro-Zionists.....hmm....

What reaction of the Israeli government would be appropriate? Some people seem to disagree with their banning of Grass's entry. What do you think they should do then?

Today Günter Grass - famous German Nobel literate - published a poem callled "Was gesagt werden muss (What has to be said)" about the situation in the middle east, talking straight about the hypocrisy of blaming Iran for allegedly building a nuke while Israel has them stockpiled, unchecked for and is threatening war - with high-tech German submarines they get for free.

...

An angry German? What a surprise.

Why do they need to do anything?

It is what is known as half-rhyming and eclectic syllablization. Did you not learn poetry nouveau at your school?
Was too busy studying engineering, heat transfer, and energy conversion, and a few courses on warlike things, and such.

Bingo!

Why do they need to do anything?

Sounds like "Ignore the old German writer" to me. Which I would label as a reaction. Sorry if what I wrote sounded like they should do something pro active. Didn't want to imply that.

I haven't read the whole thread but I assume the poet has written a few works demanding a nuclear-armed Germany, too. The case for this is much much stronger than the case for a nuclear-armed Iran (or Israel for that matter). There are four current nuclear powers who--the last time Germany came into conflict with them--dismembered the nation after pulverising many of its largest cities into oblivion with conventional deliverables.

Besides, if the angry German poet thinks it's necessary to be a nuclear power to thwart Israel, he no doubt knows that the Jews are equally capable of launching whatever they do have at Berlin as well. It's small comfort for the residents of Panzerstrasse if Tehran has nukes and they don't.

It looks like you haven't read anything of any relevance to this discussion at all.

And the original question was "What?" in response to your rather cryptic, "An angry German? What a surprise."

Why don't you explain what you mean by this...

What harm could possibly come from a country who threatens to wipe Israel off the map getting nuclear arms? Oh those silly countries who's entire history has been about defending themselves from every surrounding country trying to commit genocide against them over reacting again...

Does the poem have anything about Iran being the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism?

If I was Israel and surrounded by countries that tried to destroy me three times and hated my guts, I'd nuke up.

Do you know how I can get a list of all the countries Iran has supposedly terrorized?

How many countries are on the list or is this just something you repeat because it is said so often?

Ah! I see, a U-Boat to Israel. The Dolphin-class ships are made in Germany, right? So, Grass is blaming Germany for sending weapons to Israel.

I seem to recall from somewhere that Grass tried to enlist in the U-Boat corps during the war...

Thanks to Germany now, Israel can nuke the entire world and has said so if she ever goes under.

Samson Option

Does Herr Grass have anything to say about Syria or what's been happening there since March 2011?

Just curious.

What has happened there is Assad is trying to save his country form an Islamic insurrection. Assad is the Abraham Lincoln of Syria.

I don’t see the difference.

Why not?

I don't see how this is a matter of anti-semitism in case of Grass - while many are trying hard to make that point. Also, there is a difference between a "Pro-Zionism-Muppet", a "Pro-Palestinian/Arab/Muslim/Persian/Shiah/Sunni -Muppet" and a "I saw both sides and both sides suck ass - Muppet". You don't know what I mean?
