What is it with the numbers 11, 13 and 33?

Hi there folks!

Why do CTers obsess with the numbers 11, 13 and 33? The Cters claim they have a special meaning for the Illuminati/NWO/Freemasons.

Now, where does this come from? Does anyone know where this CT started? 9/11? I myself am an ex-CTer and I remember freaking out over finding 11 or 13 stars in the nasa logos, but I got out of the CT-world(-of idiocy) soon after that, so I never looked into it more (thank god, I'd probably have become paranoid...)

So is there something to this? Do these numbers actually matter in Freemasonry or are the CTers once again making poop up?

I don't have a specific answer to your question, but I do remember a bunch of nuts claiming that the corporate symbol for Proctor & Gamble was some kind of satanic symbol, due in part to the number of stars in it, or somesuch nonsense.

This was about 10+ years ago, IIRC.

Oh, and 13 has been considered unlucky for a long time. Don't know about 11.

I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitress and click the "Nominate" button.

Three has been considered "magical" for a very very long time, but there may be something behind that.

People do actually respond to the rhythm of three accented beats in a speech, applauding on the third beat. It's a very venerable public speaking technique, particularly good for rousing a rabble, (Cry God for Harry, England, and St George!) but as to why that particular hard-wiring is there... Who knows?

I know they generally freak out over 33 because its the honorary invitation only degree in the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. Even though its seen as nothing more than an award for a Scottish Rite mason whose been into community service for a long time, they of course think it means 33rd degrees have super secret knowledge about what is "really" going on :D

What a load of rubbish. Everyone knows it's all about the number 23.

Because 2 + 3 = 5.

Proof, you ask? What is the inclination of the Earth's rotational axis to the plane of the ecliptic? Go on, look it up. I'll wait.

33 is considered unlucky by some because that's how old Jesus was at his death. I consider it unlucky because that's how old John Belushi and Chris Farley were when they died.
