agreedOh, lets be fair here, a $250K house isn't a rich man's house any more.
Even though I live in a $50K shack, that is because I refused to go out and stretch my income and buy anything bigger when I had the income to do so, and am glad now that I did not. I was pulling down $120K a year, and a $250K house would have been no problem.
The good news is that my diversion into a new (and low-paying) career in radio is over now, and I am looking for real engineering work again, and soon should be able to upgrade to a new pad - and maybe the bargain priced homes will still be around when I can.
the median home value in austin was 181k for 2008

so honestly i dont see any problem with his home, however the website linked by 240-185 indicates his subdivision has home values much higher than what his appraised for, but if nothing else, we all know jones is a keen businessman
