What has happened to the UK

With your interpretation.

You claim that people have “a right to prejudice a trial”. You also claim that the government has “an obligation to carry out a fair trial.” That inevitably means that the government has an obligation to prevent trials being predjudiced. You claim that people have a right to do this, therefore you are claiming that the government has an obligation to violate peoples rights.

That makes no sense. People have a right to publish government secrets. That doesn't mean. The government is violating those rights by not sharing the secrets. They can take measures to avoid disclosure.

You claimed that people have a right to predjudice a trial, not to reveal government secrets. The right you are claiming is incompatible with the government’s obligation to ensure a fair trial.

The thing that makes no sense is this:
People do have a right to prejudice a trial. The government has an obligation to carry out a fair trial.

The claimed right and the claimed obligation are incompatible.

How does that not make sense? If you successfully write something and a juror gets it, that is your right. The government is under an obligation to take actions such as sequester jurors so they don't see it in the first place.

Sequestering jurors to prevent them seeing predjudicial material violates the right to predjudice a trial that you claim exists. It also violates the rights of the jurors.

How juries are currently constituted, that is true. But the whole jury process is a violation of the rights of people impressed into it. Once impressment is removed, it is simply a matter of negotiated terms that a person can choose to accept.

To return to the actual topic, the reporter who got the ban on reporting Yaxley-Lennon's sentence overturned was the recipient of rape threats from his supporters.
Leeds Live court reporter Stephanie Finnegan challenged an order made at Leeds Crown Court barring any mention of court proceedings involving Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, better know as Tommy Robinson, the former leader of the English Defence League.

Stephanie, who also works for Leeds Live’s sister newspaper the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, has since revealed social media users have threatened to harm both her and her family “physically and sexually” after her resulting report on Yaxley-Lennon’s sentencing was published.

A Limerick:
A local reporter in Leeds
Met a nut called Wayne Ankers who pleads,
that he is in a rut,
has his head up his butt.
Now the court has him jailed for his deeds!!!

And for another note from a famous British singer (Ivor Biggun): "'Ees a wanker, ees a wanker and it does him good like it very well should!!!!!

Incorrect. It is much less than that.

Population by ethnicity
Ethnic group Population (2011) Percentage of total population
Asian or Asian British: Indian 1,451,862 2.3
Asian or Asian British: Pakistani 1,174,983 1.9
Asian or Asian British: Bangladeshi 451,529 0.7
Asian or Asian British: Chinese 433,150 0.7

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=s...ome..69i57.23334j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

All Asian groups were 6.92% at the 2011 Census, specifically:

Indian = 2.30%
Pakistani = 1.86%
Bangladeshi = 0.71%
Chinese = 0.69%
Asian Other = 1.36%

South Asians account for 4.85% in all.

Giz's quote seems to originate in the Qulliam Foundation's press release about the report, stating:

"The report found that 84% of ‘grooming gang’ offenders were (South) Asian, while they only make up 7% of total UK population and that the majority of these offenders are of Pakistani origin with Muslim heritage."

Putting "South" in parentheses seems a bit odd, and may well have been added by whoever wrote the press release, rather than the report itself. However, my curiosity doesn't extend to coughing up £9.99 for the actual report.
