What else did you do in Vegas...

Aside from gambling I:

- went to dinner at L'Auberge in Mandalay Bay (organized by AntiqueHunter). Very pricey but an amazing dinner.

- Quark's bar (twice)

- wandered the strip for a day

- Jamy Ian Swiss show on Sunday night

- went to the Atomic Testing Museum

- buffet dinner at the Wynn

- but mostly I was gambling and drinking :)

Among other things I saw MGM Grand's Crazy Horse Cabaret and ate at the Bellagio breakfast buffet. I will definitely be eating at the Bellagio buffet again next year. I really enjoyed the cabaret but thought the first couple of numbers were kind of weak and didn't like the fact that they gave each dancer's astrological sign between numbers.

My entertainment:

-Lance Burton

.....

-The Bodies exhibit at the Trop. Also fascinating, but a little nauseating after three hours.

Cool, I saw Lance Burton the last time I was in Vegas. Also Both Star Trek Shows at the Hilton, Hummer ride to the Grand Canyon, lots of shows.

Bodies 2 was at the Boston Museum of Science, a while back where I saw it. Didn't have much time apart from staying at the main convention. - But went to the Peppermill with some of you twice, during the convention.

I went to Cirque du Soleil's "LOVE" show. Some parts worked better than others, but overall I thought it was pretty stunning. Keep in mind that I haven't seen any other Cirque shows so I have nothing to compare it to. I didn't mind the tweaking of the Beatle's songs. I give it a definite thumbs up for spectacle and amazement.

I also went to the Star Trek Experience. I thought the theater special effects were great and rest was "set your phasers to dorky."

Do TAM shows count? I loved Julie Sweeney and Jill Sobule.

I stayed at the Wynn and investigated the buffets at the Wynn, Aladdin, Paris and ti. The Wynn is the best by far but ti's was the best value. We also hired bikes and went to the Valley of Fire, which was freezing cold but beautiful, saw O which was confusing, ended up on stage at Penn and Teller having my glasses disappear and braved the Deuce to Fremont Street and back.

I also filled my case with American contraband from Abercrombie and Fitch, Fruity Pebbles and Ipex from Victoria's Secret. I suppose gambling doesn't hold such an appeal for Brits, as we're allowed to do it at home ;-)

There was some conference or other too...
