Does it surprise anyone that lots of pols have been compromised by Russia in one way or another? I'm thoroughly convinced that Russia spends a lot of money in nefarious ways against Western democratic nations. Whether it be Brexit or Trump, they want to divide the West so it can subjugate its neighbors.

Putin spent years in the KGB. He knows all the tricks. He will compromise or kill his adversaries.

I'm sure Burchett is right. Some American politicians have been ensnared in honey pots. Maybe because he's been blackmailed, he knows as well as anyone how this works.

But of course we don't know the exact reason that so many members of the GOP have went from being against Russian aggression in other countries to supporting it. Maybe, the honeypot has ensnared them or maybe they have been paid off.

I always find it refreshing to watch Biden's morality speech from 4 years ago while considering the current border crisis, cocaine in the Whitehouse and gay sex videos coming from Congressional grounds.

Honestly at this point I would be surprised. For the amount of times it's been asserted over the years (years!), it's weird that there hasn't been a single smoking gun, ever. It's all been classic CT "connect the dots!" arguments based on spurious evidence. Even the Steele dossier is just a partisan version of the UFO reports by government officials who say they can't show you the evidence for aliens on Earth, but they've totally seen the evidence and totally swear it's real and you should totally trust them.

The obvious answer is: They're actually not "good conservatives" if they are so easily trapped in such blatantly obvious honeypots, be they Russian honeypots or any other flavour.

A honey pot is a Honey pot, there are Corperate ones as well, Remember Epstien? A good honeypot is never spilled or broken. It would be useless if exposed to the public.
