What book is everyone reading at the moment?

"Invisible Man," by Ralph Ellison. Good gravy, does this man know how to choose his words! I've never read more concise, clear, beautiful language before.

206 Bones by Kathy Reichs. I have to read it because I'm her research droid, but though I don't usually read fiction, I'm enjoying it.

Small Gods by Terry Pratchett, which has some interesting views on religion that I like very much.

Oh my goodness - good luck with reading just one. The Discworld books are like potato chips to me - can't read just one!

So I am reading - Soul Music, by Pratchett and Demon Haunted World, like so many others.

I just finished The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown and now I'm reading the second book of a post apolyptic trilogy titled Kingdom River by Mitchell Smith.

The Great Influenze by John Barry at the same time I'm reading, I'll Survive and You Will Too! by Tammy Faye Messner. I usually have 2 books going at once. Or three. I may have exhausted all Tennessee Williams biographies and his memoirs.

"The Gates" , by John Connolly. And yes, I know it's not been released yet, but I'm in the position of getting books before they're published. Some lucky bastard has to review them, after all! :D:D:D

Continuing my Chris Brookmyer season with A Tale Etched in Blood and Hard Black Pencil. One of his more reflective works especially in the flashbacks to the schooldays of the main characters but with many belly laughs.

Currently pushing through "The Hero with a Thousand Faces". Pretty interesting but a little heavy on the language side.
