What about this crop circle?

I personally think Randi should offer money to the person who can replicate
ALL of the features experts in the field agree upon as being indicators of an
unusually or non humanly created formation. for scientific analysis.
If Randi should ever choose to do so I would accept those results.

The JREF challenge is not about anything "for scientific analysis". For that, you should go through peer-reviewed mainstream journals. (Where they have standards as to methodology and stuff. You don't just get to make observations and declare them to be "anomalies".)

You mean you think Randi should change the Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge to a Million Dollar Normal Challenge?

I don't think JREF is so anxious to give away their money.

Get your own million dollars, and you're free to offer such a challenge. If you do, be sure to let me know.

Until then, the burden is on people who claim that crop circles are not all of human origin to provide evidence for that claim.

Again, you (and your fellow claimants) are positing the creation of additional entities. Occam's Razor cuts against you. Yours is the extraordinary claim.

crop challenges fail time and again to replicate complex crop formation even without the physical evidence collection as has cropcirclemakers co founder John who was caught
within half an hour on his challenge

randi already has a money challenge out there are you a stunted seed or what? isnt this your damn forum Im the newbie and you dont know this?

Keep it civil please.

"Experts"?

These generalisations are becoming tiresome

This doesn't even make sense as a sentence.

We've got absolute proof that many crop circles were made by humans (with normal means). We've got zero evidence that any crop circle was made by any additional entities you care to create.

What exactly is a "crop challenge"?

Why do you so vehemently deny that your claim has the burden of proof? Surely you don't think it's an extraordinary claim to say that all crop circles were probably made by humans? (Such a claim doesn't require the creation of additional entities. Such a claim parsimoniously explains all observations.)

Don't be a jerk, supergreen.

Look at the top of this page. Do you see the title for the link to JREF's challenge? Do you see the word "Paranormal" there?

Do you know what that means?

By the way, I think your apostrophe key and your shift key are broken on your keyboard.

ETA: For the record, I'm pretty sure everyone participating in this forum thread are users of the JREF forum just like you are. I'm not sure what you mean by saying this is "your damn forum".

Which challenge was this?
John Lundberg has never been caught under normal crop circle making circumstances.

I know you think people interested in this just want to believe in a lie but many dont, so they challenged circle making groups including( the satan's group now circlemakers.org) to replicate complex and then unpon failing not so complex designs in order to then collect evidence in the field. This went
on for years in England and is well documented. As a curious person myself
I also tried replicating some details since I live on a farm it was well within my capacity to do so as have friends tried some whacky ideas. We didnt even get blown nodes from a blowtorch.

Again, if their thinking wasn't all backward, they wouldn't approach the issue this way. The burden of proof is on the person making the extraordinary (or unparsimonious) claim.

On top of that, you and others you've cited, continue to repeat falsehoods in trying to make the reverse case (that no one can prove that it's possible for humans to make crop circles with whatever arbitrary constellation of characteristics you decide).

So yes, I think you do just want to believe a lie.

As I've been saying, your belief is much more like religious belief. You start with a conclusion and then argue backwards to try to make that conclusion seem to be rational.

Just on the matter of "anomalies"--it's just like Linda's analogy to people with heart disease and eye color. If you don't have any control group, even if there is some sort of correlation with something, you can't claim it's anomalous.

And so far, everything you've cited as being an anomaly has been shown to exist in crop circles made by humans by mundane means. In other words, there are no anomalies in need of explanation.

Just another post full of generalisations then?

PS: You didn't get blown nodes from using a blow torch... Wow, this can only mean one thing!
That blown nodes are not caused by human circlemakers with blow torches.
For further information about the REALITY of blown nodes, read the thread.

ETA: I am very interested in Crop Circles, I am very much involved in the scene and have been for about 8 years. So please don't think everyone here is just talking from a purely sceptical PoV, some of us have vast experience and knowledge in the subject too.

joe and again I totally disagree ... the conditions have not been replicated by humans using mundane means to any degree for MY satisfaction maybe to yours but mine is all that matters to me.
Nor have I made any claims here today, I merely found the topic of interest in the forum
index.
We here Im sure will continue to try and duplicate various aspects of design formation and physical evidence in order to try and replicate some conditions found.
After all internet research is nothing compared to feild research.
I wish all well...enjoy having the last word.:D

I see. You're not making any claims. You're not asserting any evidence of the claims you're not making.

You're just asking questions. Of course, you're not asking questions to get any answers. You're asking questions to mask the fact that you're actually making claims you can't defend.

Strangely enough I doubt that the circlemakers give a monkey's about doing stuff to your satisfaction. It is enough for them to KNOW they are out there in the fields night after night making art that other people find mysterious, they have nothing to prove to you.

You made claims by association and generalisation, but as is usually the case, couldn't be tied down to any specific examples because...?

Some of us spend more time in the fields than you'll realise.

If Supergreen had read this thread he would realize he is playing an unwitting part in an unwritten play.

He doesn't see the strings that are jerking him around.:D

See now you've got me wondering, does engaging in threads like this make me a theater critic of a play that has been put on in a theater I helped to build?

There may be a conflict of interest here. :D

topic caught my eye, i havent took the time to read all the replies and if someone has already posted it, however David Wilcock talks about crop circles and how they are DNA related with the Mayan Calendar and watch our DNA's in 2012.
