Weiner's final campaign moment as classy as you'd expect

And then decided he could tell other people how to micromanage their lives, even how much soda they could drink...

Nope. I think he did the right thing. Kind of.

Fast food places in New York started serving super-size soft drinks with the value meals, I too asked them, why do I have to have a super-sized drink? They said because, "It comes with the meal." Okay. So you take your kids to Taco Bell buy them combo meals to save a few bucks and they all get 42-ounce super-sized drinks. Bloomberg forced them to stop doing that.

Remember when you were a kid. When Dad bought you a hot dog? And a can of soda. What would Dad have said if you asked, Could I have a quart of soda, too?

Bloomberg's position was, "These drinks are unhealthy to begin with. You serve a kid a super-sized soda he wants to drink the whole thing. Twenty years from now society may be paying to cover part of his medical expenses."

IMO serving an eight-year-old a 42-ounce soda should be misdemeanor-child endangerment.

I hate to prick everybody's bubble, but Wiener is a hard man, he'll be up again soon, and he'll attempt to re-enter politics, through the back door if necessary. He won't be tossed off this easily! He's ambitious to be cock-of-the-walk!

What will he erect on the ruins of his first try?
This is gong to get real messy.

Weiner's leaving the scene will sadden one bunch of people:The Comedians. He has given them easy material for the past six weeks.

FTFY

I understand David Letterman is urging Weiner to "stay involved, Anthony, we need you guy!"

A lot of jokes three year ago with Weiner being caught the first time, but he has pretty much vanished from view outside of NYC until he got caught a second time Six Weeks ago. That is when he became God's Gift to Comedians.

"I built a nationally recognized political campaign! It sank into the comedic swamp. So I built a second political campaign. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third! That burned, fell over, then sank into the comedic swamp! But the fourth one will stay up!"

"And one day son, this will all be yours."

Want it or not. :D

Nice post. Thanks.

I'm good friends with a 26-year-old guy who works in IT but is trying to be a stand-up comedian.

I informed him I cast a vote for Weiner. One of about 3 in my district to do so (I'm a Board of Elections pollworker and so have access to that info.)

He asked why in the world I would do something so spectacularly insane and stupid.

I told him "For you, to give you some material".

He said "Oh, right! Thanks!"

I don't think he has to worry. Politicians doing something incredibly stupid pretty much come off the assembly line daily.
