Missing flight 370
Allow me to throw another theory or two into the ring.

It was recently a news item that condoms congregated on the ocean to a size of foot ball fields.

With your tubes (pretend magnets with pretend AURA) you can now visualize how things are repelled or attracted.

It is not the condom or its material, its whats inside the condom that is congregating, dragging the condom along. This phenomenon is not a random thing (chaos) where these things just float around in the vastness of ocean eventually coming close enough to join each other.

This phenomenon is a good example of how we can comprehend the true miracles of our Universe.

Let me challenge you paradigms by saying that the AURA of sperm is immediately communicated to other sperm not by telephone but by being absorbed by a water cell then connected around the world by the AURA of water.

Now I could have said that discovering why accumulated sand or rock of the same size and color in a creek bed could lead to discovering the Universe but that would have been boring.
-----------

PS - Point being for some is that debrs reported may not be of flight MH370

Pardon? Bruce, you appear to be becoming even more inarticulate.

Have you blown your tubes recently?

Taking to yourself again, Bruce Voigt? This is not good especially when speaking in gibberish .

There is debris all over the ocean from lots of sources so of course some of the debris detected in the search for flight MH370 may not be from flight MH370!

It is very similar to Cow_tippingWP in that it does not exist. :w2:

I have no idea what this giant thread is about, but i do have to respond to your incorrect statement--WP nothwithstanding, as a storm chaser who has spent extensive amount of time in the plains and am acquainted with many locals, I can attest to the veracity of cow-tipping. Whether they were doing it to spite the 'urban legend' or not is irrelevant--it most certainly exists!

Thanks. This is so much better than the general tenor of this thread. However, I must ask you whether you have actually seen a cow tipped? Country Folk love stretching the legs of City Folk. :)

The general consensus seems to be, that, if you try to push a cow over, the cow doesn't like it. And, additionally, given the physics of a standard standing cow, you can't get the right leverage anyway.

Let me know if you can find a video on the Internet. Or even a cow sleeping standing up. :wide-eyed

A video? It's at night--we take no video. We don't need no stinnnkin video!
What, you don't think you can tip one of these cows?

Even these baby-cow-like creatures seem pretty frisky. I have not push against one that size but I have pushed (or been pushed) by a similar sized sheep. So, no, I don't think I could tip one of them. :nope:

(PS. Use infrared film.)

I notice you didn't actually answer Gord_in_Toronto's question.
As a long time fan of ULs, I'd be interested in your response.

nah--i told you, it was dark, so all i heard was the 'thud' :eye-poppi
Now since i answered your question--answer mine--do you think you could tip one of the 'mini-cows'? (assuming it was tipsy...)

Asking as a city boy, what is an appropriate percentage to tip cows?

Soooo, your claim that you can attest to the veracity of the existence of this phenomenon is not really as firm as you claim.

You have never actually witnessed cow tipping.

Well, being the son of a dairy farmer's daughter, I would say - :notm

If you've ever had to wrestle or rope a calf to the ground to get it on a transport you'd know how difficult the little buggers can be to get off their feet. A cow is much bigger and more difficult to wrassle.
That, combined with the fact that cows don't sleep standing up, pretty much does for this UL.
