Anyone else remember the "classics," and I don't mean "Half Life I" but really going back, ie before the days of video cards etc....
I esp. remember a lot of shareware games like Cmdr Keen, Wolfenstein, Duke Nuk'm (the orig), the "worm" games (where you're in a box and you have to stop from running into your own tail, which keeps growing), etc. There was also an awesome "Galaxia" clone I found one time (downloaded from a "BBS" - remember those?), a ton more interesting than the orig. game, ie you had a lot of optional things you could get from killing the right ship, like a shield/etc....had real colorful backgrounds and sounds too. Was fun to see if I could beat my high scores.
Ah the old days.....I kinda wish I still had the system up n running just for nostalgia.
Although I do still have the "XOR" NFL game and it's actually kinda fun to play once in a blue moon.
