@SteveScully, the Never Trumper next debate moderator, got caught cold. Pulled out the old, “I’ve been hacked”, line. That never works. His bosses are furious at him as he’s lost all credibility!

A fake Tweet was apparently posted from Steve Scully's Twitter account.

C-SPAN said Friday the Twitter account for Political Editor Steve Scully, who was slated to host the second presidential debate, was hacked after a tweet was posted from Scully's official account in which he appeared to ask for advice from Trump critic Anthony Scaramucci about how to respond to criticism the president had leveled at him.

"Steve Scully did not originate the tweet and believes his account has been hacked," C-SPAN said in a statement. The Commission on Presidential Debates has stated publicly that the tweet was not sent by Scully himself and is investigating with the help of authorities. When additional information is available, we will release it."

“@Scaramucci should I respond to trump,” Scully wrote.

“Ignore. He is having a hard enough time. Some more bad stuff about to go down,” responded “The Mooch,” who was famously fired after his rocky 11-day stint as White House communications director in 2018.

NBC will host a town hall in Florida with Trump tomorrow.

By a weird coincidence, at the exact same time the ABC town hall in Pennsylvania with Biden was scheduled.

Based on what he's said in the past, "The FAKE NEWS that presented the ratings didn't count the millions of people watching me online!! My ratings were much higher than Sleepy Joe's!!"

Is this the first town hall that The PDJT has done? It seems like it may be the first time he has to face a diverse audience asking questions rather than one filled with his supporters. I think this could be interesting. Looking forward to seeing him bristle. Nobody bristles like Trump.

Will he face a diverse audience though ?

I'd have thought that he'd ensure that the audience were hand-picked for their apparent diversity but ultimate compliance and they would be provided with questions to ask.

In any case will this be self-selecting so that only Trump supporters would attend ? Would you attend a town hall where the subject may or may not be a super-spreader ?

The only diversity he'll allow in the audience is whether they wear red MAGA hats or some other color.

I'm sure he'll manage to find some blacks for Trump, Latinos for Trump and Women for Trump so that the audience isn't all middle aged white men.

He did one for ABC last month and he did get tough questions. ABC News invited the participants. I don't see NBC News Division allowing Trump to invite just his supporters. The moderator is going to be someone from the Today Show which is soft news but still someone with journalistic standards. I can't see any of the big broadcast news divisions hosting a purely campaign event or allowing any of their people to just MC a Trump rally.
