...What phoney pieces of crap they are. What absolute garbage.

I've watched for 45 minutes now. Barbara Boxer (D) - useless trash. Senator Inhouf(?) (R) - useless trash. Al Gore - useless trash. It's a hearing on global warming. And none of them, I repeat, none of them have any interest in discussing the science or any other social aspects of this. They are only interested in phrasing their questions in such a way to make the other side look bad. Why does no one, absolutely no one, on either side stand up and demand better?

And people wonder why I don't vote. If you vote, this is what you are voting for. I hope you are proud.

You don't sound too enchanted with democracy?

I sorta felt like this watching the debates earlier.

I'm gonna vote for Dr. Doom again, me thinks.

I'm not sure.

Got anything meaningful to share with the rest of the class?

Well, are you merely going to bitch about your political system, or are you going to come up with some realistic solutions?

Sure.

Why not elections that are about actual issues?

Oh, or is that too much for you to comprehend? Should I use smaller words?

Or did you just fail to actually read the original post? You don't seem illiterate. Here you go:

How about a discussion discussing the science? Or other social aspects?

Yes, I know! It's so hard to understand! Don't worry, you'll someday understand, maybe when you grow up.

Ah, you want direct referenda about specific issues? That's OK: Present your full list of those issues.

What about the everyday, hum-drum issues? Who will decide those, and how?

Let's hope they weren't as uninformative as this post is.

What the hell are you talking about?

So you actually think that it's better to simply engage in negative attacks against everyone else, without explaining your own ideas on the issues?

Negative ads are all I've ever heard in the local elections. No one would tell what their positions were, just that everyone else was wrong, without saying what was right. You think that is better?

On the contrary, I am asking what you had in mind to solve this (perceived) condundrum.

You want to complain about your political system? You suggest something better.
