The engine was straight out of the Tiger, and optics are a given on anything German. But remember it was designed based on battle experience, and the exponential growth in anti tank weaponry

There is a reason why German tanks destroyed, on average, 3 Russian tanks for each Soviet tank - and that's a general average, including obsolete or obsolescent Pzkw III and IVs. It goes up to 10 with Panthers and Tigers.

The quality of the machine is not the answer otherwise the Americans would never have gotten off the beaches. There was a reason the M4 earned the nick name 'zippo'. Sometimes in war it is not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog that makes the difference.

So long as they make large of money in the service of the state, and their profits are shared with the state. Fascism is just as much about nationalizing industry as socialism. The only real difference is that under fascism, successful industrialists are allowed to keep running the factory and collecting their state-sanctioned paychecks, instead of being shipped off to the gulag for daring to invest capital.

It didn't always work out that way, Hitler virtually destroyed the German road transport industry by demanding they donate time and resources to the building of the autobahns. You refused....life got very tough, you do it, you go bankrupt. Thats one element of Hitlers economic miracle that doesn't get discussed much
