I'm not making any claims, but this looks suspicious. The decision made by the Maine GOP to not county 98 of 600 precints was already sketchy enough, and now this.

All of that does not matter anyway. What matters are Delegates, Superdelegates and
Superduperhyperhyperdelegates. It's almost irrelevant what the people voted ... or the "results" are.

Who is WatchTheVote2012.com and why should we trust their numbers over the official numbers?

They are a group created to watch the actual vote at caucuses (and primaries?) to make certain the results reported by the party are the same as their observations. They are (primarily) Ron Paul supporters looking out for Ron Paul.

Of course Ron Paul didn't lose. It has to be another conspiracy.

Conspiracies all the way down....

That some "independent" group claims there was fraud is irrelevant.
That some supporters of Ron Paul whine on the Internet about fraud is also irrelevant.

If Ron Paul thinks the official results are not correct, he should lodge an official complaint and provide all the evidence he has.

Why should any jerk with ties to the most absurd candidate left in the race be trusted?

Actually the Paul supporters watching the elections also predicted that Santorum won over Romney in IOWA.
But who in here cares about anything anyway? - it's a political subforum after all... :D

Ron Paul should care, and lodge a complaint if there is substance to the fraud claims.

The established Republican party doesn't want him. And they should have every right to defend their party against nuts like the Tea Party, Paul, his supporters or whomever. The election system is a laughing stock either way. Popcorn, anyone? :popcorn2

The usual gang of idiots. Here's a letter from a Jim Condit, Jr, to the Maine GOP chairman.

That name sounded familiar, and no, not just because of the whole Gary Condit/ Chandra Levy circus. So I checked back through SLC archives, and sure enough he popped up:

Political issue radio ads for Jim Condit Jr., a Cincinnati-based candidate (Ind.) for the U.S. Congress, are airing around the country.

In Chicago, Condit is running powerful ads on WLS Radio (890 AM) that call for the arrest of Michael Chertoff - and the release of independent journalist Christopher Bollyn.

On August 15, Bollyn was brutally attacked and TASERed by undercover cops at his home in front of his wife and youngest child. The 3 heavily armed and unidentified tactical cops appear to have been carrying out special orders from Dept. of Homeland Security - and the Israeli-American Czar of homeland security, Michael Chertoff.

Bollyn was a former reporter for the American Free Press, a Neo-Nazi, Holocaust denial rag, who went nuts on some local cops who were apparently staking out a drug dealer near Bollyn's home. Bollyn fled the country to Scandinavia when last heard from about 5 years ago.

Condit, no particular surprise, is a Neo-Nutbar himself. Here's his Google Video, entitled The Final Solution to Adolph (sic) Hitler. I don't feel up to watching it, but we can get a feel for it from his description:

"The Zionists brought us to the Holocaust. It is well known that it was possible to redeem Jews from the Nazis with money, and save many hundreds of thousands of Jews in Hungary...THE ZIONIST LEADERS WHO NOW SIT IN GOVERNMENT PREVENTED IT!" -- Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich (circa 1954) To the billions of people around the world who know only the standard Establishment version of 20th Century history, the above quotation is incomprehensible, its implications impossible to fathom. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were the sworn enemies of all Jews, they will say, and to suggest there could be any collusion between Zionists and Hitler's Third Reich is both beyond belief and a slap at the memory of those who died at the hands of Nazi persecutors. Incomprehensible, perhaps, but by no means impossible. The Zionist-Nazi collaboration, however suppressed it has been to the general public, is a little-known, but crucial, part of European history

So, in short, watchthevote.com appears to be run by a kook, for kooks, about kooks.

Whaddya know, conspiracy theorists and neo-Nazis backing Ron Paul. That never happens.

Heh, and madfoot got all upset in another thread when I said at least 85% of Ron Paul supporters were conspiracy theorists.
