Virginia Republican Primary a 2-man only event

There seems to be a strong tide of popular opinion here even among Republicans that if a candidate cannot get their **** together enough to do the paperwork to get on the primary ballot, how on earth could they manage all the work of being president?

This is exactly my thought. The other four candidates thought they could do it half assed and got called on it. Only two actually took the time and effort to make sure things were actually being done competently.

It also suggests they didn't bother with Virginia much because it doesn't have as many electoral votes as some other states, or as "important" primaries. If there's one thing guaranteed to tick off a whole state, it's taking it for granted. We're a red state that keeps alternating between Democrat and Republican governors. Rural, except we also have not one but two vast sprawling giganto-cities. Virginia is a state of contradiction, and people suing to get on the ballot makes us feel very contrary indeed.

Yep. And I'd say exactly the same argument can be made if they use the defense that it was the fault of someone in their campaign and not their own. Think that'd fly if one of them became the POTUS?

Newt tried to spin it as if he were the victim of fraud rather than the reality--someone (or more than one) in his campaign tried to defraud the Virginia Board of Elections (and the voters of Virginia).
