Interesting....I could have sworn overthrowing the government was in there.

I guess it basically means that there's nothing wrong with overthrowing the govt. by peaceful means. A military coup would probably fall under the category of levying war.
 
As something of a conniseur of insane, violent, rants, that only rates a 7. Yeah, it's batcrap crazy but I have seen a lot worse.
What is amusing is that We Are Change claims to be a Peace group.........

You're forgetting how the US came into being. The founding fathers of the US fought a war against what they believed was a corrupt and unjust Government. They wrote the Constitution is such a way that if reqiured, future generations could do so as well. Even after the US Civil War no-one was actually tried for Treason (several where indited, but they were pardoned before trial.)

The actual law states:

"whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."

I think that it is likely there is a difference between levying war against the United States, and going to war with the Federal Government.

Ya know... I often find myself wondering what the paranoids are going to when people like Kissinger, Brzezinski and Rockefeller finally die. I guess they'll find other targets but man... I don't think it'll be the same without those three.

I've heard Alex Jones say that people like Kissinger and Rockefeller are using "life extension" technologies so they can basically be immortal..... :boggled:

Which is why the government of the US is separated into 3 distinct branches that are their own entities.

In the history of the US, Treason has been a very rare charge just because of what it entails. The more common charges have been broader ones of Sedition and Espionage.
