Vinegar Miracle Cure!

acetic acid is one of the short-chain volatile fatty acids produced in the guts of cows etc. from cellulose by microorganisms, and used by the cows etc. for energy.

There is nothing "fatty" about acetic acid. It has no "chain". It is hydrophilic and completely miscible in water.

So why did taking organic apple cider vinegar for a couple of days lower my blood pressure?

Sure. You probably don't identify any other changes then, like in your diet, etc. Your doc can only rely on what you tell him. I doubt vinegar alone is the only cause.

Based on the anecdote and what little information there is, then there's no chance on speculating reasonably.

Believe what you want, but keep up all the changes.

I wanted to check of it was going to work, so I made sure that I did nothing different in terms of diet, sleep, exercise, etc. when I tried organic AVC.

Surrre. You know I don't have to believe a word you post. This is the internet. For all I know, you have a vested interest in selling this stuff, and have never actually tried it.

Oh now I get it.

I bought my AVC at a Whole Foods store. Costs $2.99 for a bottle.

So I don't think there is alot of money to be made.

I just saw people talking about it when I googled high blood pressure.

I don't sell it or have any investment in any AVC product or books.

Just saw the posts and wanted to share experiances with people who had tried it.

Only wanted feed back, both positive and negative.

Then why do you negate the feedback that there could be other things you are doing and only seem convinced it worked?

You only regale the miracle of this cure. You're not here for feedback, just to inform us it is the only thing that worked for you.

Just remember that we don't have to believe you. You have no evidence. Just your story. The internet is full of stories that anyone can make up anytime. Anecdotes and stories are not proof enough to convince us. Just know that.

Again, in broken record mode, we don't have to believe you.

We don't have to believe a million people or posts that say so.

Stories and claims are not proof. If you hare just here to say "it worked for me", then that's all you have. We don't have to believe you on blind tales.

As I said, you could have your own internet site selling the stuff. You could have your own store and be selling the stuff.

This is a skeptics board. Stories and claims of "it worked for me" are not enough to convince anyone, especially since the evidence stands against your tale. Evidence that was already discussed, and you choose not to entertain in any way.

Look I don't know what your problem is concerning me.

I am not trying to convince anyone of anything.

Basically, I was just looking for answers and wanting to compare notes with others who may have tried organic AVC
.

Jesus!! I hope you aren't married.

If you are, I really feel sorry for your husband!!!

Hm, personal attacks and claims of just wanting feedback. I smells a troll.

Why do you just keep going on and on about how it worked for you, and then get mad when I say reasonably why that is not enough.

Why not discuss what vinegar or whatever that organic stuff did for your appetite.

Why just get all defensive and not learn what I am trying to tell you?

"High blood pressure" is not a disease, it is a symptom. The disease is hypertension. And, there can be many reasons why your blood pressure was lower a few days later, not just taking vinegar. Blood pressure is not a "static" vital sign. It fluctuates up and down, with exercise, and with a whole host of other variables including salt intake, stress, and other factors that regulate neurohormonal levels in the body (e.g., cortisol released during the diurnal sleep cycle, etc.).

Unless someone can demonstrate, in a blinded fashion, that vinegar reproducibly lowers blood pressure in a controlled setting, your results are anecdotal and nothing more. In fact, it might suprise you to know that acetic acid (vinegar) and acetone (nail polish remover) are naturally occurring substances in the human body as well as byproducts of normal metabolism.

So, unless sufficient superphysiologic doses can be shown to have an effect in a controlled, blinded study - and that effect is not superceded by potentially harmful side effects of ingesting large amounts of vinegar - then you have nothing more than an interesting observation, my friend. :)
