I checked if there was a connection between the 5 seconds of missing plane and the 5 seconds time difference between the official report and seismic data, but there seems to be no apparent connection. However, the paper says that it was real-time insertion of computer graphics. I claim that the live video feeds were delayed by 5 seconds to allow for synchronization of the fireball explosion with the inserted computer graphics plane.
