VFF Preliminary Kidney Detection Test

There are now three skeptical organizations (FACT, Southern Skeptical Society, CSI), and one paranormal organization (RRC) that I have contacted about arranging a preliminary test of my claim.

Which is not the same thing as having them "on hold".

You have already made it clear that nothing is going to be falsified. I mean, you say your claim of healing will be "falsified" but you refuse to withdraw the claim you made to the migraine sufferers group. You also refuse to state that your experiences have no basis in reality.

That is not falsifying anything. That is asking everyone to jump through hoops just so that you can continue on as before with your fantasies.
Plenty will be falsified and have an explanation if I fail the kidney detection test. However, the migraine treatment I attempted did have basis in reality. Not to say that it was based on accurate medical perception, or on true visualization skills, but it did coincide with dramatic improvement in the man's migraine condition. Was I successful at constructing an effective placebo*, or was it the physical manipulation from the gentle head massage I gave? Who knows. And who cares. If by any chance I could be successful in reducing their suffering I would be interested in finding out about my options to do so.** I would still like to look into that.

*By telling the man that what I am about to do is ridiculous and to be considered ineffective, useless, and nonsense.
**All within what law permits me to do. Not charging any money for it, not referring to myself as a therapist, and with all necessary precautions.

Whatever happened to IIG West?
The IIG West and me are developing the test protocol for the official test. Meanwhile until our official test takes place, they have recommended that I have some preliminary testing elsewhere to become better prepared for the outcome of our test. And that is why I am contacting other Skeptical organizations (and one woo organization) to arrange for some preliminary testing.

The North Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. They care. It's their job.

I refuse to accept test conditions that block my claim from working.

<snippy>

I won't agree to test conditions under which my claim fails. Why not just put the people into an underground bunker.

Characters keep disappearing from this post. It's very annoying.

I am testing my claim of medical perceptions to determine whether they are accurate, and whether they are able to accurately describe health information that should not be accessible to ordinary senses of perception. In order to test the perceptions, the perceptions have to occur during the test. We can not test the accuracy or the type of perceptions unless they occur during the test.

If the test conditions that are required for the perceptions to occur, still enable the information of the perceptions to be obtained by ordinary senses of perception, ie. if the claim can not conform to a test that controls for all normal as opposed to paranormal sources of the perceptions, then the claim is to be considered either untestable or automatically falsified.

That is what is meant by

Oh, OK. Kewl. I have similar limitations with my invisible pink unicorn claim.

Have you had a glance at the other threads yet?

ETA: I notice this one is getting a thousand hits a day. That's a lot of attention, isn't it?

The other night my toddler had a fever and was doubled over with stomach cramps. I imagined in my mind that I could see the virus and imagined projecting UncaYimmy's Stinky Fart Smell on to the virus. I had my son grab my finger and pull while I administered treatment. Within minutes he was feeling much better.

Not to say that it was based on accurate medical perception, or on true visualization skills, but it did coincide with dramatic improvement in the child's condition. Was I successful at constructing an effective placebo, or was it the physical manipulation from the gentle finger tugging? Who knows? And who cares? Plenty will have an explanation if you fail to demonstrate that you have magical powers? Jesus, finally. Maybe you'll admit that something much more common and mundane is causing you to say you see things that aren't really there. Like something compels you to lie? Or maybe you think you see those things and you'll be tootling off to visit a mental health professional to see if just maybe you have some problem in that area that explains your hallucinations?

You say plenty will be falsified and have an explanation, but you're late to the party, Anita. Plenty has already been explained. We've applied our skepticism and...

Feel free to apply skepticism and call me a liar and a fraud.

... you're a liar and a fraud.

You're talking in circles. You already said that you readily "see" subcutaneous fat from a volunteer behind a full body screen. That's plenty good to know whether or not a person is present.

You're clearly not interested in doing a test of your claim, so. . . what's the point of going on about it?

I can fly, and I'll be happy to prove it as long as my feet never have to leave the ground.

That was cool! How did you do that?

I took a screenshot of the original post and blotted out letters one at a time in JASC Animation Shop® then inserted the resulting .gif file into the appropriate VfF quote tags.

IOW, I cheated.

I also note that my web server has just fallen over. Hmm. A ghost in the machine, no doubt.

So does this mean that you want us to stop trying to design a protocol? If so then please reply to the question so we can either keep discussing it or let the thread die.

Some selected quotes from the Interview thread...

On one occasion I chose to do the head-to-toe reading of a person I know, who was not in the same room as me at that time, and was able to form the images and derive health information I had not detected in him before.

When it comes to perceptions that come to me on their own, while I see the person, I can not block the images.

When it comes to perceptions that form due to my choice of looking for information, such perceptions are easily stopped as soon as I take my mind's attention away from them. However, such perceptions can also be formed while looking away, with my eyes closed, or even being in a different room and no longer seeing the person, because these perceptions are made in a different way.

The perceptions that form due to my choice to look closer, last for as long as I choose to keep my attention on them. I can continue to have access to the "downloaded" vibrational information even after the person leaves or I'm looking away or my eyes are closed. This downloaded vibrational information remains available for me and I can continue to use it to form the visual and felt perceptions even when the person is no longer there.

And my personal favorite:

Therefore, we need to devise a test to eliminate all of the known techniques that we can. This leaves us with your imagination as the only variable that is beyond anyone's control.
That's right, and I generally refer to these means of disallowing cold reading as "test conditions". I plan to try out some test conditions on the upcoming study. For instance, do I have the perceptions if the person is behind a screen? Once all necessary test conditions are in place, it leaves us with my imagination or perception, which ever we find out that it is.

Surely there is useful information here for forming a protocol.
