Jeesus CHRIST! Well, I guess he's punched all his cards - Navy SEAL, Pro Wrestler, Governor...

This does worry me though.

Sounds like he needs to be put through a table.

Jesse Ventura: Conspiracy "investigator"

Oh... joy...

Ventura will travel the country, investigating cases and getting input from believers and skeptics before passing judgment on a theory’s validity.

“Ventura will hunt down answers, plunging viewers into a world of secret meetings, midnight surveillance, shifty characters and dark forces,” truTV said in a statement.

Great... pseudoskepticism... if Ventura's as good with JFK and Apollo Hoax fantasies as he is with 9/11 CTs, then this promises to be Must Flee TV. Has he stated anything regarding 9/11 other than the standard myths? I don't ever remember hearing anything from him that hasn't already been hashed to death in the CT subforum or all the other sites (Gravy's, Mike W's 911 Myths, etc.).

I get a vision. I predict that he will find conspiracies everywhere.

That's a million dollars in the bank for me :D. (Hmm, that would take me beyond the FDIC insurance levels. Maybe its not a good time to take on the challenge.)

No wonder his old buddy the Governor of California is not returning Ventura's phone calls.

This show will be a ratings winner, assuming Jesse foregoes any hint of investigative reporting in favor of his personal motto:

"Win if you can, lose if you must... but always cheat."

I imagine he'll "decide" that a few are bogus, in an attempt to give the show a veneer of objectivity.

Not very likely, given Randy's billed (read: exaggerated) height is 6'2", while Jessie's actual, non-exaggerated height is 6'4".

2 inches. Pfft. It's not like powerbombing Andre the Giant.

Oh wait...Randy's shtick was the flying elbow drop, wasn't it?

Seems like that's not even a finishing move anymore. Wouldn't want to break kayfabe or anything.

And his claims to be a Navy Seal have a question mark beside them.

In this case, he's the real deal. The boys over at Veriseal.org said he's legit and they have no qualms tearing apart someone's life who's claiming SEAL credentials.

Yeah, it's a matter of hours put in and who knows what doesn't make the paperwork. It's certainly close enough to where the SEALs don't mind him calling himself a SEAL so who are any of us to?

Was he one of the UDTs who were "grandfathered" into the Navy Seals?
That might explain the confusion.
As much as I think Ventura is a total loon,I would not deny him any credit for service due him.

Not in this case. The SEALs were created by executive order of President John F. Kennedy in 1961. Gov. Ventura was born in 1951. Although he did serve with the UDT(frogmen) teams, all of those guys had to go through UDT-R(now BUDS). You make it through that, and you can wear the trident.

Shouldn't be any confusion even if that were the case. The VeriSeal guys have records of the UDT teams back to pre-WW2.
