The title of this thread is extremely misleading and lacks "oomph".

Thread title should be:

Is Newsmax a reliable unbiased source ?

I'm not saying Venezuela isn't a mess but I'm always concerned about the accuracy of a story if news agency has a particular bias.

Objectively, the site seems biased but not necessarily packed full of lies and hyperbole. I'm quite surprised Janadele is citing it however, given it's overtly anti-Mormon stance and her past assertions that she would never even read an anti-Mormon site.

As a Venezuelan, the situation with my country baffles me. And while I don't identify myself as neither a Chavist nor someone from the Opposition, the Chavist government has certainly made it really difficult for people and money to travel back and forth from the country. This is the reason I left a while ago and decided never to come back. I have no interest in being trapped in that hell of a place.
