http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/spain-suspends-riot-control-exports-venezuela-23205705
"Spain has indefinitely suspended the export of riot control equipment to Venezuela's government following weeks of unrest there which have seen an increase in violence as police face sustained protests by the opposition."
Is Newsmax a reliable unbiased source ?
I'm not saying Venezuela isn't a mess but I'm always concerned about the accuracy of a story if news agency has a particular bias.
Will Nicolas Maduro soon make it impossible to leave Venezuela?
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has issued the following updated statement on the status of missionaries in Venezuela:
"Due to the unrest in Venezuela, the Church is transferring 152 missionaries who are not Venezuelan citizens to other missions in South America."

Thread title should be:
"Mormon Church Changes Missionary Position"
The name of the musical is either "Chavista" or "Chevita." Can't decide which, but am leaning toward the latter. I am hoping that the score will be co-written by the Butthole Surfers and Mojo Nixon. (Note to mods: two actual bands, with actual names. )Don't Cry for Me Venezuela....... and it scans correctly!!!!!!!!
Kid Eager: you win the thread.Thread title should be: "Mormon Church Changes Missionary Position"

Meh. Standard third world graft, and nothing outside of two sigmas of normal abuse of power in post-Colonial Africa. It's a clever statement, but it's also historically somewhat ironically hypocritical and self-serving. Kenyatta did quite a bit of land grabbing himself.
