As a Venezuelan, the situation with my country baffles me. And while I don't identify myself as neither a Chavist nor someone from the Opposition, the Chavist government has certainly made it really difficult for people and money to travel back and forth from the country. This is the reason I left a while ago and decided never to come back. I have no interest in being trapped in that hell of a place.

The government refuses to allow it to enter, citing danger of foreign intervention. Basically, Venezuelan government wants it's neighbors to beg in order to allow foreign aid to reach Venezuelans.

They are being dangled before starving children in order to get some good camera shots. If the shots are good, then the kid gets fed.
