From CNN:
Vatican expected to announce JPII's death.

I guess he's about to get first hand proof that his religion is a fraud. I wonder if he'll come back and tell us via JE or Sylvia??

It's almost time to stick a fork in the old boy. :(

Can you just imagine the look on his face when he finds out that it was the Mormon Church after all that was the true church? :D

Hmm...two of Sylvia's 2005 predictions have (or are about to) come true.

Robert Blake was found not guilty (although really there was a one-third chance of that prediction)

Pope dies (almost a 100% chance of this one)

He's dead now per CNN. Reporters now saying the Pope is toast.

Ooops! Now they're hedging and saying it's the Italian media who's reporting the Pope's death.

Now they're also quoting Reuters.....

No good links on the 'net yet.

Just saw that he died. Great.

Now we'll be inundated with at least three weeks of nothing but coverage of his death, rememberances, the huge honkin' funeral (live on TV, with many repeats, I'm sure), biographies, the works.

I think the execs at all the major media outlets just ejaculated.

Hrm...CNN's pulled back the "Breaking News" bit about the Pope croaking...My guess is they couldn't confirm, or the reports were false.

Does anyone know how far in favor of archconservative cardinals he stacked the college?

Will they get another arch-conservative pope, or will there be a more progressive individual selected?

Not yet confirmed by US media, but it looks like it he's headed in that direction.

The cardinal is probably getting ready to hit him on the head with the silver hammer.

From another thread:

I was surprised to learn what happens when a pope dies. Read about it here.

Pope was ailing, kidneys were a-failing
All eyes turn to Rome.
Late nights all alone with a prayer book.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.

Card'nal Somalo, watchin old John Paul-o
Takes his temperature.
"Can I fluff your pillow for you,
Ho-o-o-liness?"

But as he's getting ready to go,
The reaper pays a call.

Bang! Bang! Card'nal's silver hammer
Comes down upon his head!
Bang! Bang! Card'nal's silver hammer
Makes sure that he is dead.

Why is this so difficult to confirm?

Because the Church hierarchy has its own way of disseminating information.

Yes, I read the link above

and it talks about closing Bronze Doors and the tolling bells.

Archbishop Harvey must know, where is he?

Archbishop Harvey must know, where is he?

In his little hamster wheel?

(Weird Al reference, for those who don't get it.)

I am a little confused. Is the silver hammer bit to see if he's dead or to make sure he's dead?

Posibly it isn't true.

You are trying to predict vatican politics.

It is my sincere hope that the Pope is down in Cabo working on his tan while the Vatican pulls off the best AF joke ever.

Kopji Press Inc(c)
Details of Pope's living will written request released!

Just yesterday it was reported that the pope's wishes were to be on life support until the end.

I would think that in order to honor his stated wishes the vatican can't ever let him die. Just hook machines up to him to keep his vitals going and he will live forever. Forever the pope.

Put some of those brain chips in his head so his thoughts can be read from his brain and we can have an eternal robo pope. Hell, just hook those brain chips up to a wireless network and build a robot. Have the pope's brain control the robot. Just put his brain in a jar on the shelf somewhere.

The pope should never be allowed to die.
