Vaccine/autism CT discussion

1 in 1000 of measles cases cause encephalitis.
<1 in 1,000,000 of MMR vaccinations cause encephalitis.

The above leads to some fun math.

http://www.cdc.gov/measles/about/overview.html
"Worldwide, there are estimated to be 20 million cases and 164,000 deaths each year."

If there are 20 million measles cases, you could expect 20 thousand cases of measles encephalitis.

To get 20 thousand cases of MMR encephalitis, you would need to vaccinate over 20 billion people. We obviously don't have that many. Instead, if we vaccinated the 7.1 billion people on earth, we could expect 7100 cases of MMR encephalitis, followed by the extinction of measles, mumps, and rubella. After which we'd never need to use the MMR vaccine again.

I'll go with the latter. As I actually have, three times. No encephalitis here.

Though what does encephalitis have to do with autism?

I didn't notice the Merck excerpt I posted mentioning the MMR vaccine.

That's nice.

There are plenty of independent studies confirming shots are safe, and much safer than the alternative.

You also accused every single doctor of lying about giving their own kids shots. What, did they give their millions of kids saline solution? What happens if their kids grow up and find out, somehow, they weren't immunized? Not one doctor decided to blow the lip off the conspiracy, either for honest concern over safety, or that sweet tell-all book money?

clayton where is the evidence that:

MMR causes autism
Vaccines cause asthma
Vaccines have impacted on evolution
US children have a US specific version of autism

And where is your veteran friend to provide evidence for your claims?

The vaccine zombies are kinda lethargic after I posted that Merck published that vaccines cause lethal brain fever.

Isn't it odd that the viruses that cause viral encephalitis; influenza, mumps, measles, rubella, herpes B, rabies, chickenpox, etc are all treated via vaccination?

How's that "proof" that the MMR vaccine causes autism coming along?

"If vaccines are so great, why does the government have to force them on doctors and nurses."

Have All Your Staff Vaccinated and We Will Give You £1.4 Million Extra Funding, Says UK Government

You should also know this well-documented fact: Lower education levels and socioeconomic standing are associated with higher completion rates for vaccination. [5] In other words, the more educated a mother is, the less likely her child will be vaccinated.

From your own links:

“At the ER my 9 month old is learning to pull up and when he fell to his butt he twisted his ankle. Anyways he was exposed to hand foot & mouth on Halloween and has a fever. Of course I told the ER we don’t vaccinate so when she came to give him meds for his fever she put this next to me…. Umm wtf is that supposed to mean?!?!”
Wonder how her kid caught hoof and mouth?

“Figures have revealed that less than half of all frontline NHS staff are vaccinated against flu, and at some hospitals, this can fall as low as one in five.
Huh, according to your link the government is encouraging hospitals to increase their annual flu vaccination rate. Not anything to do at all with mumps, small pox, tetanus, measles, etc...

Wrong thread.

Sorry, you have been caught lying in so many threads it's hard to keep them all straight. For example:

"If vaccines are so great, why does the government have to force them on doctors and nurses."

http://vactruth.com/2013/09/20/have-all-your-staff-vaccinated/
Offering funding incentives to promote greater annual flue inoculations among medical staff is not forcing anything on anyone. Not to mention, how does this pertain to measles, mumps, rubella, small pox, polio or any other vaccination you regularly claim medical personnel don't get for themselves or their kids?

BTW, here's your earlier claim. Please elaborate on your belief an infection rate of 1<1,000,000 is somehow significant?

Oh, really?

Your link said encephalitis can occur from a vaccination. The MMR vaccination can cause encephalitis (1<1,000,000). Are you now debating your own link?

You'd think that wanting people who are exposed to shedloads of sick people to be at less risk of being sidelined or passing the flu on would be a good thing.

Please notice that Merck doesn't specify a specific vaccine or vaccines.

So? 1 in 1000 of measles cases cause encephalitis. <1 in 1,000,000 of MMR vaccinations cause encephalitis.

The Vaccination for measles is far less likely to cause encephalitis than measles itself will.

Do you have any actual statistics showing any vaccination causing encephalitis more frequently than the disease it prevents?

BTW, I notice you've dropped like a hot potato your claims glass contamination causes "something scary." You've also dropped your claims no doctor vaccinates their children, vaccines are money makers or that rich people have a lower incidence of autistic children than not rich.

Maybe you have an email from a professional "doctor" to support your claims? ;)

yes it is far far less harmful to vaccinate than not to vaccinate, so clayton the only evidence you have presented actually undermines your case.........AGAIN.....

Yes I did notice. Did you perhaps notice that vaccines weren't even mentioned at all?

The additives to vaccines are simply drugs. Do you want your baby or child to be given drugs with a needle by anyone?

"A drug is a substance which may have medicinal, intoxicating, performance enhancing or other effects when taken or put into a human body or the body of another animal and is not considered a food or exclusively a food." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug

I would if it keeps them from contracting a serious disease, and risk spreading it to others.

Why do you want all these babies to die?
