This was done by a couple of rouge dogs that do not, I repeat do not, represent the entire dog population. Hasnt the liberal media covered this story enough? Lets get back to J-Lo's wedding!

They were Irish Setters?! ;)

As I understand it, dogs were used only when interrogating suspected terrierists.

Another disturbing fact about this situation is the fact that many of these people detained in this prison are innocent of any crime.

Commanders in the field, who are attempting a peace-keeping operation under very chaotic conditions have stated that they have not been terribly discriminate about who they sent to this facility. Many have been sent for ‘suspicious’ activity or for agitating groups during an altercation or for simply being in the area at the time of a problem.

This is not because they don’t care about the individuals rights, it’s simply a matter of them not having the investigative ability to deal with everyone on the spot and many have been sent to this facility under the assumption that it would all be sorted out later.

While I certainly do not condone torture under any circumstances it is positively horrifying to think that honest and decent people have been brutalized by American forces for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This is a dangerous administration and it’s ill-conceived knee-jerk policies implemented after 9/11 are beginning to bear a bitter fruit.

I hope all Americans who follow this story do not forget that even an American citizen can be labeled an ‘enemy combatant.’

I pointed out this in another thread to be told that General-someone-or-other said words to the effect of, they weren't in there for no reason. Amazing. The, "My son doesn't tell lies" argument has been trotted out.

Like Eos of the Eons:
"I'm just pointing out what a bunch of hypocrites they (terrorists) can be. The Americans are sooo evil that they start a war with the Americans. The Americans fight back and muddy them up. Yep, the Americans are sooo evil.

You think the Iraqis that are in jail are there because they were giving the troops donuts?"

Cry, ‘terrorism!” and let slip the dogs of war
